its just a long long road that tires you out, and leaves you feeling helpless and not in control.

maybe life sucks all the time that's why things can only go better.

People are funny.

And elders have the secrets of the years.
Intelligent or not, they have been through it.

And big business is worse then big government.

The meaning of life is to find out what is true. The truth is knowable. The truth is much like we perceive it, but not much like it is presented to us by social engineers in the media.

When the TV tells you that "we defensively and peacefully bombed Iraq because they assaulted us with deadly radar installations which they erected in their own country which we provocatively fly over all the damn time..." and it seems a little odd that the Iraquis can't have radar installations in their own country, go with your logic and reason, and not what the social engineers want you to think.

And when they tell you that guns, music, video games, and role playing games CAUSE crime, and you just *know* that criminals cause crime, go with your logic and reason.

ect.

Maetryx here,

Big business is worse than big government? There could not BE a big government without big taxes from big businesses.

God, media soundbites engrained into the populace by self-serving media social engineers. All the lemmings have to say "Big" in front of everything now. It's mindless parroting.

from observation alone - good looking people in life have it much easier than the rest of us and many of them aren't willing to admit that much of their success comes from looks.

i've also learned that people don't always get what they deserve...it maybe a godless world :(

That although you might be poor, have bad grades, a bad relationship with your parents, you are being overworked and underpaid, that no matter what things seem to sour you out. They are just things and really do not really matter in the whole scheme of things. You know you will die, you know you will be miserable at times, but that doesn't mean you have to miserable always. Accept those things which you can not change and move on, LET GO! Do not dwell on the past, do not fear the future, and do not hesitate in the present.

My parents still have this one taped on the fridge, been there as long as I can remember. Reading it always help bring things into perspective. What I have learned from life is exactly what this poem says.

A young man was at the end of his rope.
Seeing no way out, dropped to his knees in prayer.

"Lord, I can't go on," he said.
"I have too heavy of a cross to bear."

The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear its
weight, just place your cross inside this room.

Then, open that other door and pick out
any cross you wish."
The man was filled with relief, and said

"Thank you, Lord," and he did as he was told.
Upon entering the other door,

he saw many crosses, some so large the tops
were not visible. Then, he spotted a tiny cross
leaning against a far wall.

"I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered.
And the Lord replied, "

My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

I am human just as you are, and bad things can happen to me just as much as they can to the people on the evening news.
