I can agree with those with kids...I think if I had them I'd just blow it all on them.

I just have three cats :).

Have to buy for my brother/financee, my parents, her family in Japan (parents, 2 married brothers and 3 kids).

The thing that kills the deal with Japan is shipping is a bit steep once you get over 5 or so pounds. Then getting return gifts is next to impossible as shipping out of the country is highly expensive.

The makings for a faster computer.

Best I've ever had which isn't saying much but I'm happy.

assed-out eh? ;) A basic $150 chair on a black friday deal type deal and clearance was how I got both of mine here. My main one was 75% off at about $75 bucks...fabric (more comfortable than leather IMHO) and the other was a FAR deal. I wish my desk chair in the office was as comfortable as either of them. It's got all these ergonomic settings (it's not a Aeron or whatever those are), but I can't get comfortable in it.

I am debating the switch to LCD / Plasma...I still love my Sony G500 21" CRT...and although I have to buy it used the 40" Sony Wega CRT TV had a picture I have yet to see rivaled in 4 figure sets.

A 2407 on my desk would be sweet, so would the Sony 24" widescreen CRT.

Good choice.

I bought a Zen MP3 player...for $30 with armband to run with.

Best $30 I have ever spent. Upgraded the stock headphones to Sennheiser PX100's I believe they are a great deal at Amazon now...

www.headphones.com has great recommendations.

I bought a Canon Powershot G7. It takes nice pics ;) I'm going to get the "Jerker" computer desk from Ikea when I get back home in January too!

I just installed my first 2407FPW. Wow! It is a very nice display. Unfortunately, the user has it set to a horrible resolution (1024 x 768) "so the letters are nice and big". What a waste.

I buy myself gifts all year long.

I guess if I had to say I bought something for myself for the holidays it would be a Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS for my RAV4. It's awesome.
