well... on the plus side: graduated college with honors, moved out of my parents house and am no longer financially dependant on them whatsoever, student loans are paid off, and I've published several academic articals.

on the down side: still living in the town where I grew up, my job has nothing to do with what I studied in college and isn't all that fabulous, single, and haven't even started down the road towards getting into grad school yet.

Certainly things haven't been as grand and amazing as I'd planned when I was back in my teens, but a lot of that still comes down to the luck of the draw.

I've started a dozen or so companies over the years, the first few while I was still in my teens. Some were/are successful, some not so successful. Came up with a few things along the way that became "the industry standard" and barked up a lot of wrong trees, too. Been in some movies, released an album, had fun along the way.

It's had its ups and downs, but somehow I've always managed to get through...and I've managed to do it without ever having a regular 9-to-5, "report to a boss," kind of job. I've always set my own schedule, decided on my own priorities, and done what I thought needed to be done the way I decided it should be done. So even though I've made lots of mistakes, at least they were *my* mistakes.

hey dont get too cocky too early will ya? ;)

lol, sorry... not cocky, but confidence i suppose. The people who served in the military and others have devoted their lives to saving others are people I could never compare to. By most people I mean you average 9-5 american. I want to do something with my life that would leave my mark on the world.

Well I graduated college with only a very small debt. Got a decent job as a programmer/analyst. Got married and had a daughter.

Lost the job. Wife and daughter moved away. I've forgotten how to sleep and I'm suffering a lot. Now I just want to survive.

Accomplished:

I'm the only 1337 person on AT (as my profile # suggests)! :D

Graduated from HS with 4.02 GPA (weighted). Scholarship from Morehead (don't laugh at name ) State University

Associate degree in Engineering Science from Morehead State University 1991.

Graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Engineer with a BSEE and 3.5 GPA: 1993.

Married most wonderful woman in the world. Wouldn't trade her for anything.

Had two absolutely precious children. I would give anything, including my life, for my children's health.

Great job (too many hours sometimes, but everything can't be perfect).

36 and nearly out of debt (home, etc).

Nice nestegg for retirement started. Will work more on it next year after out of debt! :)

Ranking them though...Wife and kids are the #1 accomplishments in my life. They will never be topped!

if so, what are you going to do to change that?

Today I solved the Riemann Hypothesis, and tomorrow I might fix the P vs. NP conjecture.

I'll be free after lunch if anybody wants to talk about world hunger.

well i'll be graduating from undergrad this coming spring with zero college debt... got a couple job opps that i'm considering...
i've managed to help raise over $300,000/yr for the past three years to put on a big 4 day event that in turn has led thousands to Christ (most important accomplishment), and thousands more to have a good time...
i produce/run a positive radio show that is reaching thousands of kids every week... also featuring independent bands each week to help and promote their careers...
i teach/tutor kids at an alternative school who have either been kicked out of public school or choose not to go... more important than teaching though, i influence their lives positively and show them hope...
i design websites for ministries/churches/businesses/bands.. all sorts of people...
i run the sound/production for my church, i love it...

i love the life i've been given...

Seriously...

22 years old, and I managed to live this long with the way I drive

(You don't understand... I've done 105 in a 35mph zone, raced my friend doing 85 in a 25, 55 in a parking lot when I was late for work, etc. I've calmed down, which should improve my odds.)

I have my associate's, and I'm working toward my bachelor's in mechanical engineering at UCF. I'm only an undergraduate, yet I'm conducting two-phase heat transfer experiments. (It sure beats my last job as a retail clerk!)

I've played the piano for elderly people in nursing homes; I tried to teach a retarded guy how to play the piano. I've fixed many computer for free. I helped several people with websites for free. I tutored a guy in C++ for free. I think God would rather see a lifetime of little things than a couple of big things that took a whole life to accomplish.

In 18 years, I've managed to actually live this long. Nearly drowning once and being nearly struck by lightning.
I've graduated high school. That's my major acomplishment to date.
