Gladiator gets my vote for best movie of the decade

I'd say The Patriot for 2nd for 2000

Haven't seen Meet the Parents yet, but the others listed weren't that spectacular, IMO

Vertical Limit was disappointing; weak storyline. You'd think that people on K2 would know how to set a fvcking anchor at least one time.

gladiator was excellent, but overall, i think the year was pretty disappointing. lots of movies i had high expectations for that didn't come through. x-men and unbreakable being the biggest, with the grinch right up there.

can't wait for the next installments of star wars and matrix to come out.

Yes, I do agree that this year was very disappointing.

Gladiator was slow to develop? I think it was the length of the movie that made it seem slow. Gladiator is hands down the greatest rated R movie of all time.

(1) Requiem for a Dream
(2) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Gladiator was cool, but Goodfellas was a better R-rated movie. I'd say Requiem for a Dream is a better movie, but it got NC-17, but release as unrated.

Requiem for a Dream
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Gladiator
Amer. Beauty

First two are the best, by far though. Last two...too commercialized. :( Love the indie flicks. :D
