Here is a link to a stats-post at TAS' site.
Some highlights:
1. It shows TAS' production since we moved to our new site in April 2005.
At the most 20 TAS-members have taken part in our monthly projects, (average: 13 members, range 9 - 20).
2. TAS has run, during this time, 12 BOINC-projects. The total BOINC-production was 3 686 785.53 cobblestones. During the same time Team Anandtech has produced 14 327 509.12 cobblestones. TAS thus has crunched some 25% of TA's results.
TAS has also run 2 other projects: DPAD and Folding@Home. The results there were very good too, but especially the Christmas Race with F@H was pure and great fun!
3. The TAS-effect (i.e. how much TAS has added to the project in relationship with TA's production) varies from 11.67% [Seti@Home, which is for TA a very big project] to 93.8% [in QMC@Home, which just went from beta to public just a few days before we started crunching it]. The average TAS effect is approximately 50%, i.e. when TAS jumped on a project the production increased by 50%.
4. In 6 out of 14 months TA did not rise in the ranks. This includes however the Christmas Race in Folding@Home and such projects, where TA is strong already: Seti@Home, CPDN, DPAD, Rosetta@Home and BOINC-total.
5. In 8 month TAS contributed significantly to the success of TA:
* in QMC@Home and PrimeGrid TA rose to the leading position,
* in MalariaControl TA rose from 9th to second rank (has now dropped back to third).
* in Rosetta@Home TA rose frpm 11th to 6th,
* in LHC@Home from 63rd to 44th,
* in Predictor@home from 32nd to 24th,
* in Seti@Home from 20th to 18th (that was before Seti Classic had ended ...)
* in Einstein@Home, the first project we ran at our then new home TA rose from 13th to 12th rank.
Altogether some nice crunching ...
At the TAS sites there are som 1 884 posts, many of the quite entertaining, none aggressive, all very friendly.
Conclusion:
TAS has fullfilled all it's goals:
- Increase TeAm AnandTech's participation and production in projects. :thumbsup:
- Introduce people to projects they're no so familiar with.
- Have LOTS of fun!
- Establish TeAm AnandTech as a major player in all that is DC :sun:
Members are very welcome to join here! ...
On a more personal place: I just love that place. Thanks Johan and Christian for being such good co-mods and thanks for all contributors, large and small, to the phantastic results of TAS!
