Figuring out how to do something in MATLAB in about ten lines of code with results better than the complicated monstrosity that I had been working on for two weeks. I was so overjoyed when I observed the results. To celebrate, I think I am going to go to IHOP this morning and eat French Toast, maybe even with bacon. Joyous day!

i went to see a movie with a couple guys the other night and got amazingly stoned. that made my day for sure.

Campfire Saturday night. Had S'mores then my 4y.o. daughter snuggled up in my lap and we just sat and watched the fire.

Yesterday: Cleaned the carpets (again) and the nasty smell of flooded basement is almost gone!

Today: sipping morning coffee while a tech took a dremel to the computer I'm working on (to expose the JTAG port) was oddly thrilling.

Team Fortress 2. Playing a pyro and lighting people on fire gives me a sick pleasure that when I describe in detail people give me funny looks 🙁

When I'm on a team that's sucks and the other team is incredibly stacked and OMGWTFBBQ - I still love this game.

 That made my day reading that.

Thursday or Friday: A project at work that had been going on a bit longer than expected finally started working much better than the original version, and at a MUCH higher sampling rate than I'd been hoping for.

Today: I finally figured out how to rewrite some code that had previously been a bit of a circuitous nightmare. It's now about half the previous length, and it just flows through the math very easily. 🙂

Oh, and I have off from work on next Monday. The crazy thing is, I'm almost disappointed. Hell, I brought work home today, only because it's interesting. 😀

I had a really great day at school today. Had a really good time with some old friends that I lost contact with, more or less.

Watching my 9 year old's first soccer game and my oldest daughter's first football game as a high school cheerleader.

Other than that, pretty much sucked lately.

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped at the Shell station next to work to get an energy drink, and the black guy at the counter was named "Ricky Bobby" as evidenced by his nametag. I texted my brother and told him about it, to which he replied, "Did he give you the ol' shake and bake?" That made my day.

Today I wrote my essay, did half of my engineering problems, did my spanish homework and studied for a small quiz, cleaned my bathroom and my room, and clipped my nails.

This qualifies as a "made my day" for me.

It would have only been a mediocre day but clipping your nails pushed it over the top? 😉

only thing i play in TF2 is the mariokart world.

there's no other server worth bothering with.
