What has inspired/influence you to do well?

So I'm on Spring Break and my school calls today to tell me to write a paragraph on this topic, What has inspired/influence you to do well? First of all, I really have no idea what to write and they want it tomorrow. They did have to go crazy to get a hold of me today, they called the following:
1. My house
2. My Boyfriend's house
3. My Boyfriend's Cell #
4. My Work
a. I don't have VM at work so it rings to our admin
b. I guess the Vice Principal said it was urgent and all, so they forward it to my manager

Anyhow, any ideas on what to write? I'll worry about getting mad later...

I'm a senior in HS, I had/still do not have an idea of what is going on. Only some mentions about being honored as a scholar in Dover (our state capital...). It doesn't even seem like I have a choice, just was told to do it :(.

WTH? I'd tell them to get bent. Why would they stalk you like that for a stinking paragraph? Not only that, but those kinds of assignments are always drivel and BS anyway. They could just get something out of a HS yearbook because it all means the same.

**Oh, it's for some award thing. That's a little better, I guess. I don't know what to say because I would never go to something like that anyway.

Umm... how are we able to tell you what has inspired you to do well?

Nothing has inspired/influenced me. It is all BS anyhow, just can't really think of anything. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if I put down because I like to make fun of the dumb kids or something like that.

Suggestions:
family
going to a prestigious college
not wanting to end up as a gas pumpah!
the desire to succeed

just say sh!t you think they'd want to hear

You should go all out about how your school has made you what you are, and how you owe everything to them, and then show up to read it with mix-matched socks, and your shirt buttoned up all croocked, hair not combed, etc. That'll teach them to bother you when you're on vacation.

"What inspired me to succeed? Well, a number of things really. But primarily, it was the threat of molestation by my vice principal. 'Don't fall below 3.8 or you're mine, bitch!' He would often shout as I crossed the parking lot."

Just an idea for an introduction.

I finally wrote something! I like what hj03 wrote :). It's simple enough...
There a number of reasons as to why I have chosen to do well. A large influence comes from when I worked at McDonald?s. Even though I only held the job part time in order to earn some extra spending money, I saw others that had this as their full time job. I thought working at McDonald?s even part time was unbearable, but then to see others that had no other choice then to work there in order to support their families was even worse. By choosing to do well I hope to avoid ever having to be stuck in a job I do not like in order to provide for my family.

I still can not believe they called my b/f! That just can't be legal or something!

what rubbish.

I'd have written that nothing influenced me to do well. I just consistantly did my best, because it's the only thing I know how to do :p

If they're honoring you as a scholar at the state capital, at least do them the service of writing something mildly genuine, good god. Chances are they're not used to having a student of your caliber and they want to show you off, and rightfully so. My high school sucked it up when me and my friends were graduating (all valedictorians, some of us had $50,000+ in scholarship money, honors, etc.).
