What has Bush done to you....

I'm very interested to see the answers to this question in here. I want to know EXACTLY what Bush has done to negatively impact YOU. Not someone else. Not a friend of a friend who knows someone who. No some $hit I can find on Snopes and disprove. I want to know EXACTLY what Bush has done that impacted you directly. I'll start and give a few more examples.

I was mobilized as a Reservist for two years. Changing jobs for two years was a minor hardship on my life, but I managed to adjust. I was mobilized stateside and went from being a Systems Administrator to being a Military Policeman where I saw dead children, car accident injuries and the like during my time.

Also, my brother returned from the initial assault into Iraq and isn't really the same anymore. He's an infantryman who loved being in the Army, but got out first chance he could after an 8 year stint and a successful time doing what he did. He always wanted to be a soldier as far back as I can remember, but he's even encouraging me to do everything I can NOT to go to Iraq.

Other examples I'm looking for could be: job lost due to overseas work, family member killed in war, etc. Things that impacted you directly somehow and were directed AT YOU. Your turn.

I am currently in Afghanistan, i am not American but part of the NATO troops here, take a wild guess what he has done against us.

I predict at least another decade before Afghanistan is either stable or left to the "powers that be", i predict at least a decade in Iraq and when the US leaves (not that that will ever happen which is the policy of today) it will crumble into a cilvil war where the shiites will crush the Sunnis and the Turks will put a swift end to the Kurds hopes for kurdistan which is what they have hoped for all along, US help to bring Kurdistan to the table of negotiations, oh, you thought they wanted to get rid of Saddam, LOL, man, some of you are so easily fooled.

Leave Iraq now or never leave, that is the choices you have as i see it.

Leave and rename it Iran II or stay forever and create a new situation like the Israel-Palestina situation.

He cut taxes on divends and the like so now I get to keep about $50 more in unearned income.

I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

Also got way to drunk one night and threw up indirectly due to the invasion of iraq. Long story though. I'm not gonna bother.

he's cut science funding to the extent that my girlfriend, who just graduated college, and many of her brilliant friends, have not been able to find good jobs.

In fact, the market right now for biology jobs is rather bad for the potential employee.

Largely thanks to Bush.

It impacts me though, because I wouldn't have met my lady if she had found a job immediately.

Call me back when I'm given a one-year vacation to Mosul courtesy Uncle Sam.

I'm 18 and I'm going to face a draft. So fvck Bush.

As the president of the only superpower in the free world, he has failed.

You can quite me on that, he has failed like those before him, you can say but Clinton and i don't care, this policy is heading for disaster.

Did Rock the Vote tell you that?

Because I think you've been had 🙁

More probable than not if this continues.

We need more troops and we are not even near the intense battlefieslds, forgotten in Afghanistan.

Let me hear your opinion how the low troop presence can be solved in the areas of norther Iraq and southern Afghanistan.

Well, he has driven the cost of oil up, and that affects me. He has undermined my confidence in the US govt.

Let's expand this further. Since Bush took office, what has Saddam done against individual Americans? Not much. That is a much more generous limit than you place on your question about Bush.

Now lets put your constraints on OBL.
What has he done DIRECTLY to you? Well nothing unless you were in the towers or vicinity or a family member.

A worthless standard.

Do some research, there were engagements between Iraqi air-defense units and Coalition air patrols practically every day after the end of the First Gulf War. Cease fire? We don't need no stinkin' cease fire . . .

I'd say it posed a threat to the pilots who were being shot at, wouldn't you?

Not much, it did more to hone their combat skill IMO.

How many planes did we lose to hostile fire? How many planes did he fire at outside Iraq? Next.

He hurt the United States. That is my country. That is more than enough reason for me.

George Bush, owing to his complete lack of understanding of morality and the things this nation stand for destroyed the credibility we had built for 60 years that we are a nation that believes in laws. Bush destroyed that when he engaged in preemptive war to bolster his political future and live out a psychotic dream of New Century American Imperialism. Bush turned the US into an evil and deservedly hated nation. We have never had such a leprous piece of slime as President.

1. Gave me a BIG tax cut. Part of which will be used to start an IRA.

2. My country has not been attacked by terrorists since 9/11

3. Restored my faith in people. Despite the constant, steady stream of negative news stories the people were able to think for themselves and vote for who they wanted.

4. He made me feel good on election night when he beat the liberal Senator who tried to hide from his record, and even had coat tails to pull more Republicans into congress.

5. Made me laugh out loud at the liberals on Anandtech who are still freaking out because he won (I am still laughing).
