So now Reagan made people homeless and mental? Where do you come up with this?

The fact that he cut alot of the federal level funding going to the mental institutions, with no money to pay for housing or food for the mentaly ill many were turned out onto the streets.

Maybe that is the problem, you guys just don't have good jobs. Of course the lower paying jobs are going to remain that way. I don't get paid a ton of money, but I have gotten nice raises every year Bush has been in office.

Ask what has he done for me and I say Bush keeps a roof over me and my families head, he feeds us, he puts clothes on our back. He is keeping us safer from terrorists and is not running to the hills making deals like the Dems would have done IF elected.

In 1999 I was in drug rehab and I had nothing to look forward too, my parents and other people turned me over to the bible. It changed my life, literally.

I turned toward the bible and then I began to support Bush because he faced similar problems with his drinking. The man is like a reflection of me, he really is.

Look at me now, I got my own car, a job, a girl friend and clean. I don?t do any drugs, smoke, drink or have casual sex with random people.

I rejected your god and your faith years ago. I got my own car, a job...no girlfriend though, Italian women aren't that attractive here in northern Italy...and I don't do drugs, smoke, drink, or have casual sex with random people.

Go figure.

Bush has put me and my friends in danger, and all so he can commit revenge on Hussein for his father.

That is plain BS and you know it.

You haven't been to San Francisco have you?
The Homeless there are a major problem, Many of them are mentaly disturbed and need care and medication. I would much rather have them getting the care they need on my tax dollar than to be lost in thier own world wandering the streets.

BTW the only thing Bush ever did for me is pay for a brake job on a car I no longer own. Honest Truth.

I'm really happy for you dgevert, but some people need a little help e.g. the bible to get out of hard situations.

So Bush is the model Christian that led you away from your evil doings?

You know one day you will seek a savior, not Bush I hope, but Jesus Christ, your Lord and Saviour.

IF you all would look deep into your hearts you know there is something you are longing for and that the answer is a relationship with God.

Prove it.

Before Bush, I was a poor college student losing $40K a year to school.

Now I make over $100K. Not a bad turnaround since Bush has been in power.

The mentally disturbed are homeless because of liberal policies in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Then, the liberals opened the gates of all the mental hospitals, claiming that no one was really mentally sick. Now they're all over the streets, homeless. Great job.

He's continued the war in Iraq, without making impossible promises, worked against partial-birth abortion and supported a marriage amendment. 🙂

Translation:

He's embroiled us in a quagmire in Iraq that we won't be able to escape from for a long time,
Made bold claims about giving Iraqis democracy, but so far given them nothing,
Worked against a phenomenon that only happens in medical emergencies involving the potential loss of life of both mother and child,
And worked to enshrine bigotry into law.

Success all around for Dubya!

Yep, that goes back to Kennedy's admin.

Some of the cleansing of the mental health warehouses was very necessary & appropriate, but it went just a bit too far.

Man, that was smooth. A classis left-wing twist, using opinions as facts, disguising awful practices as necessities, and calling work to get rid of sickos bigotry. Like Kerry, but less diplomatic.

So you're saying Iraq isn't a quagmire? We can leave whenever we want?
Iraqis already have democracy, and Bush has made good on his claims?

A lot of rhetoric flies around about partial birth abortion. One would think it's literally where a woman decides, no, she doesn't want a baby, and she decides it while actually in labor, from all of the rhetoric tossed around. Few seem to realize that partial birth abortions are a non-issue: they only happen when they are needed to save the life of the mother.

Calling work to get rid of sickos bigotry? Uh...yeah. Your bigotry is obvious in that statement.

No military situation allows you to pull out whenver it becomes unpopular. And honestly, did you oppose this war the day before we starting bombing Baghdad? Or just when somebody suggested that there were no WMD's?

BTW, I'd like to see some proof that a majority of abortions aren't done on a whim, or displeasure with the idea of a baby.

Yeah, you might call me bigoted but, if you got your head on straight, it's no worse than being bigoted against a serial killer, or rapist. And I'm proud to be called bigoted abainst gays.

The fact that you could even suggest a connection to Bush makes me wonder if you went to college at all.

It was a joke, Bleeding-Heart. But his tax policies sure has helped the bottom-line. I hope he also fixes social security, but going much further than he's recently proposed.
