2003 SVT Cobra.

Years later, it still has me staring at the clock waiting for the work day to end, or waiting for class to end, running out to the parking lot with a grin on my face, and holding my breath every time I turn the key. Seems like all eternity goes by waiting for the coolant and oil temp gauges to be pointing upright so I can lay into it.

I love my current 06 Mazda 3s. the only other two cars I've owned were an 87 Merkur XR4Ti and an 87 Toyota Supra. I like my Supra but it was not reliable. The Merkur hardly ever ran, my brother ended up dropping a ford 302 V8 in it but the car seemed cursed and always had issues. We junked it.

Anyways, my daily driver is my favorite car I have owned. It's a 1996 Honda Accord Coupe 2.2L 4-Cylinder 5 spd manual.
Same car I have, though it's an auto.

Pics are taking hours to load so I can't see it.

Pictures are loading fne...so don't know why I guess.....

On another note I have always wished Honda made a V6 5spd of those accords (only AT's came with V6)...they just never made it until the current generation I have no idea why they did that 🙁...

I really like my current car. The last fun vehicle I had was an 89 Isuzu Extended cab pickup, and now the Insight. It is fun to drive, is small and quick, and gets excellent mpg. It is also enjoyable from a technical / electronics standpoint. Seriously, how many cars can be modded from an electronics standpoint?

'95 VW GTI VR6

It was a dorky, unassuming little box with a decent amount of grunt under the hood. Plus I  the VR6 exhaust burble.

Just a really fun car that kicked like a mule in 2nd & 3rd gear.

While I love my WRX, I still have a very soft spot in my heart for my Integra GSR.

I beat that thing relentlessly and it never quit on me, plus it was my first sporty car and huge step up from my 69bhp Suzuki Samauri.

My 1970 VW Beetle. Fun car to drive and loved working on it. I mean my love my SRT-4 but you can't beat the uniqueness and fun of a classic vdub.

Of all the cars I've owned since I bought my first new car in 1970 I've enjoyed my 98 Contour SVT the best. It was just an all around great road car that was a blast to drive. I just traded it in on my Subaru in 06, but I still really miss it.

I'm going to go with my 2002 Corvette Z06. My 2000 Trans Am WS6 was a close second with its super aggressive styling. In either one of them it didn't matter how crappy of a day I had, standing on the gas pedal makes everything else go away, at least for the moment. I don't think it is physically possible for me not to smile when I do that.

1997 Integra RS (automatic), I know, it has no torque (even my corolla has more torque than that due to the gearing), but it is fun to drive and fuel efficient (29mpg), reliable doesn't hurt either.

Wish I opt for the GS with spoilers alloy and leather, but oh well, good enough.

Front
Side
Rear

- Cost me $3500 4 years ago and had 119k ( a bargain) on it now it has 150k
- Excellent fuel economy for performance compromise
- No major problems so far, since 2004 I have only had to replace a leaking Water radiator and then the front axels and Rusted Exhaust
- I  mid 90s cars, this design is one of my favorites, it's just so nimble and sleek
- Getting me through my degrees at the univ and I am always able to rely on it
- The thing is just fun to drive I punish it a lot, especially when I am heading back from univ @ night and it's raining 😛
- The quality inside doesn't feel cheap at all, and I love the console design, it's not bad at all for 1996
- But I many times find myself in a desperate need for just 30+ HP, problem is, it would really cost me to get that.

Overall, I think I am going to keep this piece of work even after I graduate with my degrees and get me some nice 5-series. perhaps I would turn it into a little project car for me to have fun with 🙂

Swap in a H22A 🙂. This is the car I am looking for except I want the EX version. This gen accord is my favorite.

I loved my '94 Mustang GT, it was a torch red 5spd with a host of mods. Great fun and pretty fast too.

I like my wife's IS250, excellent brakes and handling, fun to drive and it looks great.

Hands down my favorite ride right now is my '08 Suzuki SV650, it is extremely fun to ride, faster than 99% of cars on the road and I just get a huge grin on my face everytime I get on it.

Still looking to add a Lotus Elise to my stable at some point too. 😉

1987 Dodge Conquest (aka Mitsubishi Starion) with obligatory re-chipping, boost and exhaust mods. For those unfamiliar this was a 2.6 liter intercooled turbo RWD with 4.something rear end gears, 4 wheel independent suspension and 4 different tires on all corners. It had no problems pumping out well over 200 hp and running a quarter at 98 mph in 13 seconds flat at a mile of altitude -- in the 80s and early 90s this made it a rocket.

Interior that was 3/4 actual size. 7.5 MPG because it was impossible to keep my foot out of the turbo. Looked like a riced out 80s Accord hatchback. But what *FUN* in the stop light grand prix! It was possible to put it on 2 side wheels by turning the steering wheel too fast. Just... a ridiculous, impractical, dangerous and utterly fun little car.

Honorable mentions: 2000 Mazda Miata, 1969 Firebird Formula 400, 73 GMC High Sierra monster truck and OFC my supercharged 5 liter 5 speed stang!

I have to pick three, each for different reasons:

2002 VW Golf TDI - 44 mpg, very refined - doesn't feel like a small or cheap car. Lots of torque and it loved going autobahn speeds on the highway.

1989 Miata - Convertible, lovely 5 speed shifter, a delight to drive. Lots of room for stuff if your passenger is willing to carry things on her lap (need a tree from HD anyone? A very large suitcase?) Top only goes down on the three Ps - parked, pouring or ... uh.... playing.

1979 Nissan Pulsar - Cheap as hell, I think I paid $500 bucks? Nothing broke but the muffler (twice). And when the muffler had holes, it would backfire and sound really cool when decelerating in gear. SKINNY tires so you could drive at the or past the edge of adhesion at legal speeds and keep control.

Current car: 2004 Audi S4 Avant. Should be a dream car, but it just isn't for me.

87 Caprice - plenty of leg room, large and in charge. Excellent for long trips on the interstate. Comfy.

93 Cavalier RS Wagon - A bit of a sleeper car as it had the 3.1 v6 engine. That thing could really move and was fun to drive.

86 Yugo - j/k 😛

Ya but an H22A swap doesn't really come in at a low price.....and who would buy the current engine after the swap?

And in the end you end up with a Prelude, which isn't that fast to begin with.

My 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon. All the luxuries I need, gobs of space in the engine bay for my giant hands to work on stuff, on-board engine diagnostics, it can hold a washer and a dryer in the back at the same time, and it doesn't get horrible mileage.
I like my 73 Beetle quite a bit too, but it doesn't have AC.

I liked my old Volvo 850 T-5R wagon, got it for cheap, had many luxury features, plenty of cargo space, and some decent kick under the hood. However, the g35 I currently own is in a whole other league, and offers an unbelievable amount of features and performance for the money.

honda s2000

i dont ever brag about my car at work. i dont spend 3 hours every weekend waxing it. i dont have a die-cast model of it. i dont have "photo shoots" with it. i dont go to car meets to show it off. but goddamn do i love driving this thing.

i dont mean to downplay other peoples vehicles, but i dont think many other people get the experience that everytime they drive the car, they receive immense enjoyment, year after year. everytime i drive it im reminded how fun it is; it has incredible "staying power"

i did like my 1993 sentra se-r very much. it was pleasing to drive, at least for a college student, but the electrical/mechanical troubles gave me headaches. i would buy another one again... if i could find one in good condition
