My '92 Acura Legend that I drove from 97-02... Loved that vehicle.. Bought it for $11k with 85k miles on it.. Sold it 5 years later for $5300 with 175k on it... Damn that thing held some value and I enjoyed driving it to no end..

Upgraded to a 740iL but my heart still lies with the Acura...

My favorite car has been my '91 Mitsu Eclipse GS Turbo. That car fit me so well, handled very nicely, and was pretty fast, especially for its day. Nowadays 250+hp is common but its 191 horses (IIRC) was very high in the early 90s. It was also pretty reliable overall, niggling problems here and there but only left me stranded once with a dead alternator at ~150K miles. I sold her at ~160K miles to a friend, he still drives her.

My best car has been my current '00 Maxima. At 177K miles, she's only had one repair - the radiator fan still worked but had a bad bearing or something and was loud as hell. She just went to the shop this morning, she started stalling yesterday and I hope it's nothing too serious (but I have a bad feeling).

For the longest time my favorite car I'd owned was a 1989 Thunderbird Super Coupe. One of the best shifting manuals I've driven, nice short throws (for stock) and smooth as glass clutch (got over 100K miles on the first clutch). Put over 170K trouble free hard miles on that car.

Later I bought a 2000 Audi S4. Definitely not perfect stock, but after some goodies from APR (chip and exaust) and a UUC short shifter.......damn did that car turn out to be a genteel yet ferocious beast. The hole shot was downright insane yet so very easy and consistant. Very few cars out there could keep up......I really miss that car some times.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer which I bought in 2004 for $8300 with 22k on the odometer. Very roomy for a little car, sips very little gas and has been very reliable. One of the three transmission sensors went out and I had it changed. At 99k, I had the timing belt, camseal and all the rubber belts changed. I am now at 106k and I plan on keeping the car until 175,000 miles to buy another Mitsubishi.

I like Mitsubishi products!

Try the simplest stuff first, check air filter, fuel filter @177K miles might just need a
throttle body cleanout and some plugs/wires.

Tough call. My 93 Mercury Capri XR2 holds a special place in my heart for being my first car, and also because of the fun of it being a convertible. My 89 Audi 100 was incredibly fun in the snow, but it refused to hold an alternator belt for more than a couple days by the end, and suffered from a variety of electrical problems. My 2000 Buick Regal GS was enjoyable enough in a straight line, but handled horribly. And of course my 98 Mustang was always fun - had a great system in it and tons of interior work done to it. Ah, that was probably my favorite thus far.

precusor for the SUV craze,Looked good, got me everywhere easy to work on myself.

Generation (1984-1988)

The Ford Bronco II came along at exactly the right time as the compact SUV craze was just starting to take off. At a diminutive 94" wheelbase (shorter than an Escort's), the Bronco II was a bit smaller than its rivals, but some considered that quality a plus instead of a negative. A 3-door wagon bodystyle was the only one offered. The German-built 115 hp 2.8L (171 cid) V6 was the only engine available, with either a 4- or 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission, and could be had in either 2- or 4-wheel drive. Base, XL, sporty XLS and top-of-the-line XLT models were available, and even the base models had full instrumentation with an optional tachometer. A small number of XLTs had the Eddie Bauer package, outfitted with premium accessories, high quality upholstery, and special Eddie Bauer badging including stitching in most seats.

Nice, mine is an '89 Bronco II, only vehicle I've ever had - manual, of course. 🙂 Doesn't have much oomph to it, though...

1995 Bronco Eddie Bauer myself.. 4x4 (since bronco's only had 4x4)

Love the Broncos.. The 5.8L V8 in that thing roars and while it may drive like a newborn giraffe put it in low range and it will do almost *anything* you want it to out there.

My neighbor owns an 89 bronco II with the 5-speed manual and that thing is just as fun. It's everything the Bronco is just with more... skill off the road.. It's more nimble, whereas the Bronco was more raw power and brute force.

Sort of like the different between the HUMVEE and the Jeep for the military. Either way I find both vehicles completely kickass 😀

In order:
1995 Mercedes Benz E-220 (former)
2006 MINI Cooper (current)
2008 Lexus IS 250 (current)

1999 Honda Civic EX coupe (5-speed)

Absurdly fun car to drive, I think I love it even more now that it was stolen from me a few weeks ago. Only had liability, and I know it's been two months so there's a 99.999999% chance I'll never see it again, but I hope I get it back. 🙁

93 cherokee.

It was old, rusty, rattled, and I loved it. It took abuse, it was fun to drive and got me where ever I wanted when I was out in the dirt.

It was the idle speed control motor, which I have since found out is a common problem on this generation of Maxima. Oh well, I'll keep my fingers crossed that I can go another 177K miles before it goes in the shop again 🙂.
