What has Anandtech done for you? (It helped me move into my new home)

Heya! I want to give a public thanks to ViperGTS and Orsorum. They helped me move today from one town to another in Washington, Orsorum driving from Seattle and Viper driving from Portland to lug an upright piano down an unpaged grade. Two other guy friends of mine assisted, local guys, but I just think it's awesome that a couple of random strangers from an internet forum got to be such good friends that they'd take time, even travel, just to help me move.

Help me with programming, give me advice on computer parts to buy, help me fix network problems back when I was a novice, help me solve countless computer problems, helped me remove my emblems off my car, some ATOT members helped me learn how to do better micro photography. Rossman helped me set up my first own domain website also

Oh and helped me from being too bored

P.S. There are probably another 50 things that I haven't listed... that I can't recall at this time.

I guess Anandtech has allowed me to be someone I can't be in real life. I cannot express myself the same way where I come from, because as in many high schools, nerds/geeks are always the rejects. Now, when I am with my group of friends I am able to be myself, but around people that make fun of me for likeing computers, I just can't.

What has AT done for me? Makes me laugh, I learn a good bit, I get to share my experiences with others, and I've met some cool people in the ATL area. Went to a LAN party last Saturday night in fact! But, AT is also one helluva time suck!

It has helped me get free Maxim, FHM, and Blender subscriptions for free. It's also helped me save/spend money on other gadgets(mostly PC stuff) that no one in my circle finds valuable.

actually myself and some other ATOTers got together and shot each other up with paintballs last weekend at SC Village. We're doing it again in three weeks if any one interested. I'll post it when the time come, the place is in Corona, CA, so if you're near by, come.

Gotta love I-5 at 10 PM, 85-90 mph all the way home & I was only doing 20 over. Not a cop in sight.
