RH9 on dual PIII 550 MHz CPUs, Tyan Mobo, Velocity 4400 16 MB Video, Soundblaster 64, 512 MB SDRAM

RH 6.2 on SS20, dual 125 MHz hyperSPARC CPUs, 256 MB, 4 MB frame buffer, Seagate 9 GB 10K SCA drive, Teac SCSI external CDRW
 
Router FW = ClarkConnect 2.1 P4 2.0/128MB 10GB & 120GB
Mythtv box = Knoppix myth P4 2.0 /256MB 10GB & 80GB
File Server - FC1 dual PIII 833 /512MB 20GB, 40GB, 2x60GB, 80GB

So your running LFS in 64bit mode? I bet that was interesting to set up. (I am assuming that your running LFS on that opteron, since I am unaware of any Slackware AMD64 version.)

hehe. Just look at it this way:

You did this personally with some tools provided from the community and a bit of help from lots of other people. MS is trying to do the same with it's OS and still has only a public beta to show... Now if you can do what a multibillionar coporation has a hard time doing then that has to be some sort of ego boost. 😛


Did you compile everything for 64bit mode or do you have 2 sets of of libraries and stuff for both 32bit and 64bit programs? Do most programs compile somewhat cleanly in 64bits or have you had to putz around with editing make files and messing around with patches all day long?
