what happens when

so say i want to take my 7800gt out of here and put my x1950 back in to see if it still crashes ect....and i dont uninstall drivers. whats the worst that can happen? driver conflict and windows crashing?

It's not going to crash. Your system will still use the resources tho, potentially leading to slower boot-up times.

You definitely can get driver conflicts, this is why all drivers come with an uninstall application and why people make programs like DriverCleaner Professional to remove all traces of them and any orphaned registry entries.

last time i forgot to uninstall old driver and install new one my pc became so slow and refuse to play some games. driver cleaner pro helped everything and make my pc faster again.

i have never uninstalled previous drivers before installing new ones and never had a problem.

You're supposed to uninstall old drivers??? I always just took the card out and slapped a new one in. Never had any performance issues either.

I laughed pretty hard at that, it's nice to know there are some people that are not all worried about being super PC still.

Go ahead and do it, I have done the exact same thing you want to test before, it booted fine with no problems, I uninstalled the old drivers and put the new ones on all after I had installed the new card.

ditto. I've even had ATI and NIVIDIA drivers installed at the same time, and would just swap out cards...
