what happens when you put 4 gigs of ram in a windows xp box?

It's a dedicated logical disk managed by our SCSI RAID hardware.

If you're just starting out fresh, I would recommend letting Windows manage the paging file. I just bump it to the max of 4095/4095 per disk. Some systems may actually have 4 dedicated disks for swap allowing up to 16GB of paging files but this is an unusual configuration.

I'm an independent contractor and do a variety of things. If something touches a computer, I'm usually involved. :)
