What happens when you get banned?

I've never been banned before but I'm sure some of you have. When you get banned and say you try to log in, does AT Forums just give you a generic wrong login info page or is there a funny little alert? Is there a personalized thing for different people that got banned due to what it's for? If it's a vacation is there a countdown?
