So you played 20 minutes of a game before deciding to post your opinion authoritatively?

Nice to see you're almost as adept at trolling the STEAM forums as you are trolling these, I guess.

So i must ask, who made up the rule that you are not allowed an opinion with only 20 minutes in game?

And this is trolling?

I guess people will throw any word in there for something they have no clue about.

You can have an opinion on anything in any amount of time. That's your right. That much is obvious to anyone who is not a complete fool.

What makes you a troll, by definition, is feeling the need to go into a forum obviously dedicated to the game and fans of it, and posting nothing of substance other than essentially "Ha the game you guys like sucks!" after 20 minutes of play time.

Sorry, but don't like being called one, don't act like one.

But i never put anything that you said, so perhaps stop pretending to know it all?
I mentioned balance issues, and that i will be getting a refund, i mentioned otherwise it's quite a cool game, but it's multiplayer only... so balance is either make or break.

Meh, I have certainly bailed on games within 20 minutes, especially cheap/free ones. If I spent 50 bucks on a game, then I might try to endure its pain a bit longer... but in the end I wish I bailed after only a few minutes (Spore, MoO3, Civ5 (which many people love and I *hate*)).

At least there's a Steam refund system now. There are a few games that I paid $20 or more for that I played less than 20 minutes before swearing off forever. The new series of Wolfenstein games where you have to press a button to pick up ammo comes to mind. I refuse to play a game like that. It's unacceptable to me. I posted as much on the Steam forum last year and the replies were, "thanks for subsidizing the game anyway sucker!"

What's the point of a forum or public game reviews if people are *gasp* not allowed to post their honest opinion on said title after playing it? 20 minutes is plenty long enough to construct a legitimate opinion on gameplay and content for just about any title.

Just like I don't expect everybody to LIKE every title that I find favorable. None of those replies to the OP were remotely constructive, just like your posts.

That said, opinions should also be... constructive.

Was the OPs post constructive? I don't see his original post in the thread he posted so I doubt it. If you go online posting a stupid review of a game that just bashes it with no constructive criticism then I'd expect people to respond in kind.

Is OP not playing CS:GO, anymore? I miss the new topic after every match about their skillz.

If OP's post was anything like what they post here, they had it coming.

The idea that 20 minutes of gameplay creates a well-formed opinion is laughable at best. You may find it to not be your jam 20 minutes in, but barring a game type that allows the full spectrum of gameplay to be learned in 10 minutes, a 20 minute session is generally not nearly enough time to pass judgment.

Prime example, any MOBA. 20 minutes gets you half a match of the big guys. 20 minutes might get you a match in a faster paced one, but that's ONE match. You've mastered nothing in the game, even if you are bringing some skill from other games of the same genre.

SunnyD should name an RPG/MOBA/RTS that can be adequately judged in 20 minutes. And read more of OP's gold.

In defense of OP I usually know within 30 minutes if I like a game or not. Why stick with something you don't like for hours?

Are you dense?

It has nothing to do with forming an opinion, even after 20 minutes.

It's deciding to post a completely inane, nonconstructive post, and then have the audacity to complain when people call you out as being uniformed and trolling.
Defending that kind of behavior because "you can" is just childishness. There's plenty of games I dislike, think are overhyped, etc. I don't feel the need to go into forums devoted to said games, post nothing of substance to get a rise out of people, then complain in another forum about people calling me out.

If you want to defend fools like that, go ahead. But don't complain when people grow tired of the stale schtick and call you out on it.

All I see is now we're fighting between ourselves because the OP trolled here by posting his successful troll elsewhere. I think you're a troll genius, OP.

What's wrong with realizing a game is boring after 20 minutes? Is there a globally-agreed-upon rule that states a gamer absolutely needs to play a boring game for more than ten hours or an entire week before realizing said boredom kicked in well within the first five minutes? If a game just isn't for you, you'll know really fast. Yes, sometimes there's exceptions, sometimes you might think "damn, this game is bad" right away, but somehow you tell yourself "well... let's... let's just keep trying" and surprisingly, at some point, it boards the "damn, it's actually getting fun now?" sleeper hit wagon. But it's not always like that.

It took me about 30 minutes to stop playing World of WarCraft, never touched it again since then. And, on a side note, Steam Refunds is extremely overdue. It should have been there years ago.

The only thing I wonder about is why would anyone bother posting that on the Internet when they know full well (please don't be naive in public) about what the reactions will be. It's not like you'd actually hope for and expect a detailed pages-long conversation in a thread where only constructive criticism and maturity is the norm, especially after announcing on said forums that you happen to be bored of a game after playing it 20 minutes? It's obvious that kids (and adults with a mental deficit) will be there ASAP contributing with their irrelevance.

Thirty minutes into WoW, and you think you've experienced enough gameplay to judge it as a whole?

I just didn't want to pay a monthly fee.

A game might not be for you, and you could pick up on that pretty quick, but you can't judge gameplay as a whole that fast for many types of games. It's an important distinction. A lot of games don't even reveal all of their gameplay in the first 30 minutes.

But whatever, I'm just waiting for OP to play CS:GO and post about how awesome they are again.
