Anyway, if I did believe in souls, I'd think if you killed yourself then your soul would go to hell. If not, heaven would be packed with cliff jumpers.

The way it was explained to me is along the lines of what ViperGTS said. When one commits a sin when they're alive, they have the chance to repent and the sin can be forgiven. However, when one commits suicide, it is a mortal sin that can only be forgiven by God when the person's soul is to be judged. I'll try to find something that might be able to help explain it a little better.

If you believe you have no soul, then what happens to your non-existant soul should be of no concern to you.

Religions that are based on the concept of salvation rather than works/repentance do not consider suicide to be a ticket to hell, as your sins were covered once & for all when you were saved.
