Lots of super newbies these days.

I wonder if it's the spam bot programs, they've gotten a TON smarter and talk like normal human beings. Did you notice their convos lately?

Spam bots can talk now? Are we almost in the age of Terminators?

Yeah, there was this one a few weeks ago where it the topic was in OT about how you would feel about knowing you were dying.
The bot said a sentence about not being afraid and then followed up with a Marie Curie quote, WITH apostrophes, "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."

I was honestly mesmerized and quoted it, asking the mods not to kill it. Someone proceeded to ignore my request and killed it, all traces 🙁.

I remember that one! And a similar one with another bizarre piece of text inserted.

I've put a bike ( cb650 Honda 4) down once, in the rain, on 101 by Woodside Rd exit in Redwood City.Maybe 35 mph or so.
Someone cut off the big rig I was behind, and he checked up suddenly, I dived for the right shoulder and the whole thing slid out from under me. I was all suited up, gloves, full body leather, so I just slid to a stop. Toasted the gloves and jacket a bit, but got up and rode home. Broke the right mirror.
Another time, a couple of buddies of mine and I were dusting off their Harleys, and I managed to find the only patch of gravel in Daly City and I dumped a Sportster, (psuedoEasy Rider) right in front of the house as we were coming in. 😛 Scratched some chrome on the shifter. Damn ape hangers.
Although the bike was Red & White, they weren't and I lived to tell this tale. 😀

But the biggest save, was the piece of metal , aprox. 5 feet long, twisted, like a bent bumper or I-beam, in the middle lane of I-80 above Auburn,CA that I missed as I crested the hill above Bowman Rd. How I saw that, registered the hazard and wiggled the bike (aforementioned Honda) around it gives rise to claims of divine intervention, because I'm not that rad of a rider. Well, at least I was that night.
Anyway, the GF following damn near hit it and she thought I might have untill she saw me taking the exit ahead. I worried about hitting a deer more than anything up there.

Tires going flat is generally no big deal unless you're in a turn. Never had one shred though.
I take care of my tools. Everyone knows this.

this thread was a total mindfuck at the beginning, with a time warp and missing subtitle text. took me like three minutes to figure out the context.
