I'm pretty particular when it comes to pizza. By far the best place for pizza is Chicago. In my shit hole of a town and pretty much Colorado in general they have SHIT! UTTER SHIT! for pizza. It pisses me off. I want to make my own. There's one more place in town I haven't tried yet. Will see if they are any good.

Thinking about buying a pizza stone.

I like Little Caesar, and it's my preferred discount pizza. I'd have to pay 200% more to get a pizza I liked better, and interestingly enough the Greek guy two doors down from my local Little Caesar can't provide it at all. His pizza sucks.

Little Caesar's is bottom of the barrel pizza. I think they get their ingredients from the outside trash bin. It's alright for a quick dinner though.

Make your own.

Here's a no brainer dough.

Here's the dead simple mozz kit.

Sauce and toppings I leave to you. Get on it.

of course to you gourmet pizza is probably digiorno pizza...or Red Baron...lolol

Hey man, sometimes digiorno has really good batches of pizza. You should try the cheese stuffed crusts they got lately. Not a rotten topping to be found, unlike some previous... adventures.

Little Caeser, Pizza Pizza and Dominos are friggin terrible pizzas, holy crap. Having tried those enough times in the past, I don't even bother ordering from there anymore. There are so many way better pizza places. There's one decent cheap place ($15 +tax/tip for a large all-dressed pizza), they use a lot of local ingredients. It's not the best pizza, but for the price it's good and it beats all the other cheap ones that are barely even edible. For $20, there are a lot of options for a good large pizza. Places you go and sit down for a nicer experience you obviously end up paying more, that's to be expected - but even then there are places that make amazing pizza where you can get a perfectly large serving (not a "large pizza", but still more than enough food for one person) for like $12-16.

The value for the aforementioned cheap-ass pizza places just isn't there IMO they are just too ugh for not enough of a savings to bother

People should forget Little C. They raised their prices from $5 a pizza to $6 and for that much you can get a premium $5 frozen Red Baron that rises in the oven and tastes as good as the upper tier national brand chains. It's called Baron's Best.

When i lived in NYC i had to get a Pappa John's pizza in a hurry every now and then. The more i ate that pizza the more i liked the pizza back home. These pizzas that we have in good restaurants here in MKD are centuries ahead of the American ones that i have tried.

The visual check portion would include looking for noticeable insect parts. Along with pocket change that may have fallen from an employee. Those are two immature cheap shot comments but there could be so many more, that's why the thread is fun I guess.

You lived in NYC and ate Papa Johns? I am totally baffled by people's pizza preferences and stories in this thread.

Actually it's surprising how good some of the frozen pizzas are. Some actually do taste like "delivery grade" pizza.

I should probably try to make my own some time too, once I get it down path it would probably beat most of the chains and be cheaper. Especially if I can find a way to freeze them and that they'd still be good, as I could make a bunch at once.
