What happened to Tuna in OIL?

All i see are Tuna in "POUCH" and tuna in "water"!! :|

did they find something bad in Tuna with oil or something?? :|

I still see tuna in oil, but I think it's pretty nasty.

It's much better in water.

I was at the store yesterday and they had plenty of tuna in oil.

Most tuna in oil sucks, unless you get the gourmet crap in the olive oil.

and better still in the pouch, but more moolah :-Dollar-sign emoticon wanted-;

interesting , perhaps its the way we eat tuna?

besides ones on pouch(now they are the king) I always preferred tun in oil.

Care to share some tuna recipies?

I like it the traditional way:

2 cans tuna
1 tsp olive oil
diced carrots/celery
1/3 cup fat free mayo

mix and spread on bread.

yum.

Yeah, they still have tuna in oil.

We still have it here in the UK, in the normal cans the fat contents are approximately as follows:

In Oil = 9-10g
In Brine = 1g
In Water = 0.3g

Gotta love oil 😉

Albacore in water is the best. Mix with some fat free miricle whip + spoon full of sweet relish + diced celery

Replaced 'celery' with 'egg whites' and you're there! 🙂

The pouch is bigger than a can. It's actually cheaper per-ounce.
And you can STILL get it in oil in the pouch. I did once b/c I kinda like it, but then I decided it wasn't worth the extra fat.
