What happened to the default ? I can't stand this layout.

My laptop screen is 1920 x 1080 and two one line posts fill the entire screen? If the poster has a signature line, forget it. WTF?

I don't see this. Flushed your cache recently? Shift - control - F5?

I really don't understand why all these forums everywhere are going to these huge waste of space layouts. It doesn't look good and it doesn't help phones because you still have to zoom the size and it just makes even bigger gaps. They need a 'compact' mode that doesn' t have such large gaps or useless giant buttons.

This is the hipster design trend.

Absolute garbage.

Yet somehow after all these years they still have yet to fix the damn advertisements shifting the page down. Without fail half the time I click the wrong post because the stupid adv shifts the page down. This is a clown show, get a layout thats functional and aesthetically pleasing.

I think I'm ok with it. I still want to tweak the colors, but that probably won't happen this week. The top bar needs to scroll though. It blocks everything when you're on a phone in landscape.

They need to get rid of those two side bars too. You can remove them yourself but have to do it every time. At least make it default for them to be turned off.

Ain't' got nothing to do with the cache, but the huge waste of space in the formatting's
Goodness gracious why are you so zoomed in? Could you increase text size and not zoom the rest of the page?

It's persistent for me. Turned the off once and they stayed gone. Do you not allow cookies maybe?

Oh another thing, anyone find the spell check is weird? Like sometimes a word will be wrong, but then the red goes away and the options to correct go away. It's like if it's somehow interfering with the browser based spell check. Sometimes everything goes red. Don't realize how much you rely on spell check until it stops working properly lol. Kind of sad actually. 😛

Every Time they update the software they seem to lose a bunch of people here?

I think that a lot of people here are old fogeys who are afraid of change.

The younger bunch have mostly moved on to Reddit... which is filled with assholes, but seems to have a popular subforum for about every topic in existence.

It's not about "being afraid of change". When the change is bad then why accept it? . Same with Windows, every time they change it, it's for the worst. There is no reason to change stuff just for the sake of it. When a design works, then you leave it alone. There seems to be a trend now days of changing stuff just because of it. All the big companies seem to be doing it, and what for?

Software is "done" for the most part, but they want to keep selling it. That's why you get "features" that amount to rearranging the deck chairs.
