What happened to Tank from The Matrix?

I just watched The Matrix (the first one) again last night, and it really made me wonder...what happened to Tank in Reloaded?

I mean, he lives through the end of the first movie, and then is nowhere to be seen in the sequal, nor do they bother even mentioning him (that I noticed). They act like all of Morpheous' crew died except for Neo and Trinity. So where is Tank?

They say in Reloaded that Tank died. What really happened was the actor that played Tank wanted more money and they were not willing to pay him. So they just wrote him out of the story.

Well if he died, it didn't happen in the movie, since he was perfectly able to save Trinity and Neo from Zeypher, and then manage to stay around and watch their whole adventure rescuing Morpheus.

Kinda sucks that he'd screw himself out of that part. I mean, it's not like he was that important to the plot.

I guess people either didn't hear the news story or just assumed that after the injuries he sustained that he died. :/

It's explained in Reloaded, she says she already lost two brothers to the Matrix - Tank was one.

He dies sometime between the original & reloaded.

I just finished watching the first MATRIX and couldn't even stomach the 2nd one..... TANK was awesome! He made me BELIEVE in all that was going on! I can't stand when Producers/Director's Ruin the sequel without giving props to the people who got them there.... Sure, he was a minor role, but not really, it makes one feel good that the characters are back! MATRIX 1 was the perfect movie... by not paying the man.... They've ruined it's LEGACY, and the rest of the movies have no choice but to take a back seat to it's original.... imagine if 'Han Solo' was replaced by 'Burt Reynolds' in it's sequel they called him 'ACE'... Just not cool.... RIP TANK

He stayed with his brother's family to take care of them.
