Taco Bell has gone downhill in quality and up in price, of course the same can be said about most anything today. I'll take Taco Time over Toxic Hell any day.

I like Taco Bell, but I always find it a little disconcerting that it smells like dookie at the drive-thru.

my typical jack in the box meal is either

2 chicken sandwiches and a jumbo jack
or
1 chicken sandwich, fries, and jumbo jack

Well since I left San Diego I have really missed-

Del Taco- Oh the Chicken Soft TACO!~:D Cherry Coke and that 99 cent RED burrito! YUUMMMM!

Jack In The BOX - the chicken Pieces ROCK and so does the Chicken Fajatia Pita! The meal for one is like $5 with a HUGE ICED TEA! (thats brewed Iced tea Mind you not that coke machine crap they have at Mcdonalds)

TOGO's _ yes it is pricey OHHHHHHHHH but so good!

In and OUt- Double Double Animal Style Nuff Said

Thoose little taco places in TJ - 3 taco for a dollar, beer for a dollar, five bucks for 2 beers and nine tacos! YES!

Churchs Fried Chicken- Sorry KFC Sucks!

Carl's JR- not much ate there only occasionally if they had a special.

and

Weinershitzel- Chili dog thursday - 2 chili dogs for 99 cents REAL Iced tea (see above) for 1.29. OH YEAH!

What I gained-

White Castle- cute little hamburgers, takes four of them to equal ONE mcdonalds hamburger. Soggy, tastes bland but they are cheap.

Hardees - the worst food I have ever encountered from a chain fast food.

When I went back home for 3 days last july lets just say I was eating OUT ALL THE TIME!

A better question is what's happening to Subway? Footlong value meal is now 8 bucks here in the bay area. That's just absurd.

hey i actually do know what happened

they are trying to compete w/ nice bread places (like panera bread, big sky, and i dunno what u might have in that area); by introducing new bread and raising prices; trying to make it upscale

it was in wsj or nytimes i think.

I go to Taco Bell on Sundays when they have tacos for 49 cents. I get 20 of them, 10 hard shell and ten soft. Not too bad a deal.

well you get what you pay for:p but yea taco bell meals are kinda expensive, if you get just the taco or burrito its not too bad. the less cheapo fatty beef the better though..bad for ya.

mcdonalds has minimeal deals for 2bux, fillls me enuph, i'm not a glutton:)

burger king has 99cent deals which are good. well i like the friday bkfish for 99cents on fridays, those suckers fill ya, and the fish is atleast somewhat good for you:)

hard to beat chinese takeout for value though, you can be filled big time for 4 bux. quality of food and selection depends on which place though, many differences, regional etc. some more oriented towards americans with the sterotypical dishes and others with the more weird stuff:) still not all that good for you, but better then plain fast food.

you can get takeout at fresh choice, but thats ~7bux?

Taco Bell: I like it, that sauce is pretty good.

TOGO's: Expensive! Still, the sandwiches are quite good...

In-N-Out: My favorite fast food place, I love their hamburgers/cheeseburgers.

Jack In The Box: I don't think I'm going back there again. The cheeseburger was McDonald's style, and fries were really small. Not very cheap either...

Quizno: I'll have to go there once, but it's kind of far from me.

Subway: Decent, the bread isn't very good, but I like their sandwiches.

Burger King: I don't really like it, I only went there twice in my life, I hated the greasy, smelly fries.

Arby's: It's good...

Wendy: Okay...

I would say that most things us Americans eat are unfit for human consumption, let alone things like Taco Bell and McDonalds.

Yeah, taco bell is extremely nasty, especially when you're ordering from a guy with all kinds of food pieces falling off of his lips... Jack in the box has great chicken pieces. Mcdonalds is just grease central... Subway is alright... Burger King's clogging fries taste simply great... Carl's is real good food... I guess in fast food, theres a lot of bad in everything, but you just gotta pick the food that has the least amount of bad in it...

Up here in Southwestern Ontario, we have a small chain called "Fast Eddie's".

39 hamburgers and 59 cent cheeseburgers (in canadian dollars :Q) every day. Not to mention that their crazy shakes and crazy frys are the best!

Taco Bell is good but the prices have really gone up and the portion sizes down. I remember years ago tacos were like 50 cents and stuffed full, now it's a buck and the thing is barely thick enough to be considered much more than a tortilla shell with some lettuce in it.

Oops! :D Bah, I would never pay that much money for Taco bell (unless I lived in russia... let's see.... $50 in rubles = .0000000005 cents?)
