What happened to No Doubt?

I don't know if you guys saw No Doubt on SNL tonight, but what happened to them? They used to be at least SOMEWHAT good. Now they're basically pathetic!!

sold out just like many bands of this horrible time in music🙁
screw creativity & talent - we need the sound to be radio friendly & catchy - with a beautiful face & that can dance to look at while watching the music video
gotta love the record companies - JIVE has to be my personal fav:disgust:

<< dood, she didn't even shave her pits for SNL! >>

I don't think that's where he would be putting his face. 😉

armpits are way overrated. and why r u looking at her armpits, while there are many other body parts to oogle at?

Are they tring to bring back the 80's or something?

It should be illegal to attempt such a thing. :disgust:

btw, i like their new song "hey baby". i just hate the reggae dude part. yeah, its different than their original stuff...but its not so bad. maybe i'm just a pop zombie.

<< hey baby is a terrible terrible song. wtf are they thinking? >>

pretty much. They've been sodomized by the likes of britney and christina

i happen to like some of the stuff on the rock steady album, although hey baby doesn't happen to be one of them. and yes, gwen is a hottie (it's her voice!).

I saw the new song on morpheus and was thinking "cool, it should be pretty good". I downloaded it and couldn't even get through the first minute. I turned it off and felt let down that No Doubt would actually play a song that sounded like that. If this is just evidence of more to come they are definetly losing me as a fan.

edit: wow nothing made sense

Well I'll give No Doubt the benefit of doubt and reserve my accusations of "Sell Out" until the release of their next album. I can appreciate a band that experiments with new sounds and mixing the genres. They've been doing a lot of stuff with R&B artists these days which, even though I can't stand R&B, I didn't think it was all that bad. I'm open minded enough to go along with their experimentation as it gives us something new to consider.

But only for awhile....

If they continue to dumb-down their lyrics and do catchy dance tunes in the future I won't be able to play along anymore and they will, sad to say, lose me as a fan as well. I mean, that song with the phrase "Keep on dancing" repeated over and over again did absolutely nothing for me. 🙁

OTOH, Gwyn's body will always do a lot for me!! And so what if she didn't shave her armpits. That could be sexy on certain women, and she's one of them! 🙂

I thought that I imagined seeing that, guess not. Man, she used to look really hot, now she is just trashy. What was the deal with the drummer and his cute little skirt? Freak. 🙂

Armpits are next to boobs... 🙂

I bought the album and I like it. So there.
And I like No Doubt's live performances.
And I like Gwen Stefani.
And I like her boobies.

I just watched VH1's Behind The Music - No Doubt episode. Man! That band went through three incredible setbacks, any 1 of which would have finished the majority of bands.

1) The original lead singer committed suicide
2) The person who started the band quit (Gwen's brother)
3) Tony the guitarist went out with Gwen for 6 years and then they broke up and both stayed in the band

After Tony broke up with Gwen, and her brother had left the band, she started writing the songs. All of them were about Tony. Anyway, that was the painful motivation she needed to dig down deep and write that second album (Tragic Kingdom) which has sold over 15 million copies.
