I'm using my computer and I get up to do something as I'm on my way to go to work. I come back and do my usual press the windows key to get to shut down and then click stand by. But for whatever reason nothing happens. So I try the windows key again. And again. And Again. Nothing. I ended up doing a soft reboot after an attempted CTRL-ALT-DEL which also didn't work. Windows loads fine for some reason (expected some sort of scan of the drives) but it hiccups on my mouse. It says I don't have a PS/2 mouse installed but I see it right there and was using it no less than 15 minutes before.
My mouse is an Intellimous Explorer. I have yet to install software for it since it worked right away. OS is win98.
I tried unplugging and plugging the mouse back in to no avail.
Any ideas?
