What happened to my Dial-On-Demand?

I have a small home network with Win2k and two Win98 machines. Every thing was set up and working fine for several months with the Win98 machines sharing the Win2k machine's dial-up modem.

Now, suddenly, the Dial-On-Demand option doesn't seem to work, even though it's checked in the Sharing Tab of my Dial-up properties. The Win98 machines can still share the connection, but only if the connection is established from the 2k machine. Whereas they used to be able to open IE and the Dial-up will be established automatically.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled all my network settings, but still the Dial-On-Demand will not work even though it is checked.

Anyone have a clue about this?

I don't have a clue, but I'll speak some generalities in case something rings a bell for you. Generally when something stops working suddenly, I try to recall the most recent changes I made to the system. For example, I recently added ZoneAlarm (software firewall) and LimeWire no longer allowed people to download from me.

So, is there some software you've added to your system (the win2k machine) that might be blocking some incoming requests from your win98 machine?
