Hahaha, those parodies of Encyclopedia Brown rock. Even the illustrations brought me back to my childhood days. :)

Not really, I remember reading them around 3rd grade, and I'm only 17. Then again, I am a nerd. :p

Are you sure those were the Encylcopedia Brown books? I remember reading them. The fat kid was some former child star, and he and his friends had a clubhouse hidden behind a secret door in a junkyard fence.

I just looked it up. It WAS a different series:

Alfred Hitchcock & The 3 Investigators

the fat kid was "Three Investigators"

Jupiter, Pete, and Bob i think. i also read pretty much every one of their books when i was a kid.
