Point is the cover up.

So what? Who cares? Did your quality of life go down because of that? Why are you making such a big deal about this?

If you're going to whine, whine about something that matters. Bitching doesn't do anything. All it does is breed hate. Why don't you come up with something constructive. Why don't you think for yourself, and bring up new ideas on how we can solve todays problems instead of being all pissy about the past.

Clinton was almost impeached about lieing about a blowjob while this VP gets to shoot someone in the face while drunk and no one bats an eye... you think that double standards do us, as Americans, good? If you think that allowing our top officials to do blatantly criminal acts without so much as a reprimand is healthy for our political system , you are as wrong as can be.

Here comes the classic liberal Clinton defense. Clinton himself still says it to this day.

But the facts belittle this. Clinton WAS (not almost), he WAS impeached by the HOR for perjury and obstructing justice. And if it hadn't been for his cronies in charge of the Senate at the time, he would have been impeached "for real".

Anotherwards, the "blowjob defense" is smoke and mirrors.

Here comes the classic neocon defense that it's all right to be a lying POS who starts wars killing thousands of people while corrupting the entire government by sucking off of big money interests and incidentally, screwing the pooch with incompetence on every domestic front from emergency preparedness to education to infrastructure to... well pick it. They've fscked it all. And of course, their defense is, "it was just as bad when Clinton lied about Monica."

Grow up, and get the fsck over your egotistical selves. NO lying, cheating, theft or corruption is acceptable from those in public office. :|

Clinton was wrong, and he got roasted, but there still are relative levels of bad and worse, but if you're going to use that as some kind of lame excuse for Bushwacko's war or Halliburton's profiteering off an illegal, immoral war based on lies or Abramoff and DeLay's balatant, money grubbing corruption, you've got some serious problems with reality.

I might have given some thought to your argument, had you not started with your usual "neocon" nonsense.

Ah, so we agree on something?

Clinton was wrong, and he got roasted, but there still are relative levels of bad and worse, but if you're going to use that as some kind of lame excuse for Bushwacko's war or Halliburton's profiteering off an illegal, immoral war based on lies or Abramoff and DeLay's balatant, money grubbing corruption, you've got some serious problems with reality.

Relative levels? Is that "two wrongs make a right"?

And don't start on about corrupt Republicans. We've seen a plethora of Democrats caught with their hands in the cookie jar too. If you honestly believe EITHER are clean as a dinner plate you have some serious issues with reality.

Damn! You're as reading challenged in this thread as in the one about the suit against John Murtha. I specifically said (and I'll put it in bold just to help your tired old eyes):

NO lying, cheating, theft or corruption is acceptable from those in public office.

How much more explicit can I be?

No two wrongs will ever make something right, but that said, there are relative levels of right and wrong. No wrong by Clinton excuses the horrible, multiple wrongs committed at every level of the Bush administration, starting at the top.

That said, if you think Bush's blowjob, or even worse, lying about it, is anywhere near as bad as starting a war based on nothing but lies, or almost any of the rest of the horrible things the Bushwhackos have done in office, then sonny boy, you've got some serious problems understanding relative scales of importance.

Apparently, you're another of the reading challenged. Have you read the thread, or are you just looking for a chance to take a shot at me?

Please tell me exactly what part of my post you quoted is "frothing." If you can't, please (note the polite request) STFU.

LMFAO. Too bad for the Republicans there are people like you spouting off at the mouth enough to have turned so many voters against your party and your manGod. I am sure the Republican party wishes people like you would just go back under your bridges before you lose them more seats then they are already going to lose.

That's what lefties said in 2004   . Instead Bush got a mandate.

Your kind are geniuses, you did so well at recruiting for the opposite team. Guess you're smarter than I am.

Bush never got a mandate. All he got was an extremely slim majority of the votes, and even that may have been more votes from Diebold than anyone else.

What's more significant is, now that even most of those who voted him have figured out what a liar he is, you can pick your poll to see that the overwhelming majority of Americans believe he's an abject failure who has trashed the country and the world. :frown:
Guess you're smarter than I am.
Thanks for your blatant statement of the obvious.

Michael Moore I believe. Someone needs to give the guy an exercise routine and Bush was the man for the job.

Better mandate than anyone anyway, Clinton couldn't even get 43% of the votes.

I wasn't paying much attention to politics back then, so thanks for correcting me... it actually makes my point even more clear...

He was drunk while hunting.. which is illegal... no one in his party cares... being "forgiven" by a fellow crony doesn't mean much.

How many non VPs would get away with such an act? How many times have you "accidentally" shot a friend in the face? Ok ok.. bad example.. you don't have any friends.

Ted Kennedy got away with drunk driving and murder. Well maybe not murder but he covered up a death just fine.

So you are saying that Teddy Kennedy= Dick Cheney? How is that a defense of Cheney?
