Sorry about raging on Republicans. I was not meaning to troll. Those bastards are making me sick.

Scandal after scandal the Republicans are in the thick of it. Cheney?s drunk binge where he shot a guy. Bush?s war of lies, our Constitution and Bill of Rights being used as toilet paper, election fixing, republican talking points, manufactured outrage I AM SICK OF IT AND THEM.

What happened to doing the right thing?

There are some bad dems.... Just look at todays republican party. While many are dieing over there in Iraq, what does our republican controlled congress vote on?

And what does the Democratic party do? Tie up time whining about Dr. Von Doom because their contacts at big pharma Barr want to make a ton of money.

Congress is controlled by the Republicans. Do you know what the means and how Bills get to the floor?

I guessing not.

Used Rugs, I invite you to read the current article in Rolling Stone about Senator Lieberman...doing the right thing is a concept lacking in both the Democrats and Republicans.

In order to do the right thing one has to know what the right thing is. For many, especially the more intelligent, there is no right or wrong. There is only hiding ones true face from the world and doing whatever it is you think you can get away with. People with internalized morals that don't depend on fear or reward are sadly not too common. We know how people are when we see their real selves come out in a mob.

You forgot the 2 biggest scandals: A foreign policy of preemptive aggression, and the death of thousands of innocents.

Both crimes against humanity, in my mind.

Ultimately we are at fault. it is us--The citizens of the U.S. that are allowing these scum to do their bidding--in our name. Everything the United States does, agree or disagree, is by fiat a representation of the public.

We are the ones who have not done the right thing.

All career politicians are a greedy group of bastards (and bitches) that are in it for their ego's feed by the power, greed, and unlimited corruption. Party affiliation really doesn't matter

I agree with the OP. Bush even lets companies send our jobs overseas, that shows he doesn't care. I would use the troops to protect our jobs before I'd send them to Iraq for oil.

You justify one wrong using another.. Ted Kennedy did not start the Iraqi war the Bush did and based it on lies... how many US service men and women must die to jostle your mind into gear.
Sometimes you have to accept reality when you stand on either the far right or left... try the middle and rip everyone who does wrong.. Folks in the US would be far better off if that was all there was.. middle ground folks..

Nietzche argued that there are certain types of noble individuals, intelligent, that they determine values, that do not need or seek approval, it's the arbitrator of right and wrong, they are value-creating or so they think. Reminds me of the way you discribed Bush.

Cheney shoots an old man in the face with a shotgun. The police were kept away from Dick by his secret service men for 17 hours. Why you ask that long? My guess is, he was ripped. Over those 17 hours he and friends got there stories straight and the alcohol lvl came down. It?s a crime in most states to be drunk, handle a gun and hunt.

Point is the cover up.

They are doing the right thing (for them). The country and it's citizens (aside from the rich donors/enablers) they've written off years ago.

Were there this many scandals in Clinton's presidency? How many rights were taken away then? How many wars were started for no reason? Did the debt go through the roof? Cause I don't recall that happening...

So what? Who cares? Did your quality of life go down because of that? Why are you making such a big deal about this?

If you're going to whine, whine about something that matters. Bitching doesn't do anything. All it does is breed hate. Why don't you come up with something constructive. Why don't you think for yourself, and bring up new ideas on how we can solve todays problems instead of being all pissy about the past.
