What happened to Dailytech?

They have gotten extremely stale lately. Their R600 story was a rehash of the vrzone, inq rumors, their RV630 & RV610 was a rehash of the hkepc leak, their 8600GTS/GT story was a rehash from vrzone.

Their last original news or article they broke was before the G80 launch. For the above reason I find myself rarely visiting Dailytech. Did their sources got caught or have they been slacking since then? 😀

There really hasn't been anything new and solid to report regarding the R600. Everything is all rumors and supposition. Until AMD finally releases the thing, they seem determined to keep it under extremely tight wraps.

The best R600 thread out there is at Beyond3D. They have some very knowledgeable and level-headed folks over there keeping up with the situation. It's a very interesting and technical discussion. And best of all, they don't allow the "antics" some of the more excitable members over here exhibit.

I'm just suprised that everyones favorite string puppet (Dave Baumann) hasn't been reinstalled @ B3D by ATi to "guide the discussion"...

No, Hexus owns B3D now, Baumann was (publically) hired by ATi's PR team just prior to the AMD buyout. He was "working for them" far longer than that; ex-3dfx angst and all that.

Well, I guess they haven' t changed the whois info for the website, cause it still says DB is the owner.

Err, I mean callingID states DB is still the owner...

Yeah because there are no sites out there run by Nvidia PR!

just a certain somebodies personal vendetta once again rearing its head.

nvnews does not have (nor does it actively seek) the clout that B3D had/has. Like all forms of power, its how you utlilize it that tells the real story.

I think KristopherKubicki and the DT team are still waiting for their apology from 90% of you guys.

Maybe they're on strike?

Ouch 🙁

It wasnt really a review, just performance numbers a week in advance. Their numbers were pretty much dead on.
