i am going to be buying a case here pretty soon, preferable under 50 bucks (before shipping), w/o power supply. i was planning on buying one of the chieftecs from newegg, because i remembered they were cheap, came w/o psu, and were great cases. well, now they only come with a (horrid, deer) power supply, and are 60 dollars. so i searched for an antec 7237 remembering that it is the most ubiquitous case known to man, cheap, and not great but *decent*. well, they dont have that anymore either. looking at some of their other cheap cases, they all look like ass. so i go to googlegear, and they're all expensive, then i go to directron, and their antecs (same as chieftecs) are pretty expensive, and again on a last whim i look for the 7237 but it is nowhere to be found.

so...where did all the good cheap cases go?

you can go to provantage.com and search for an antec sx1000. This is an Antec sx1030 without the power supply. $42 without shipping. You can also get larger or smaller antec cases like this for not much more money. Shipping is a little on the high side though, about $22.

I don't see what's wrong with the CG 6039L. I think it's a great case if you want something cheap:
- roomy for its size
- front usb2.0 ports
- looks great

you can find these all over the place for about $20 w/o psu or you can get it with one of the great CG 300 or 350w psu's for about $30

just a quick question isn't the SX1040B II Suppose to cost more than the Sx1040 or sx1040b becauses its a newer model? and if it isn't why is the sx1040b II suppose to cost less then?
