What happend with back in the day when a prescribed med had 1-3 side effects and they were considered safe?

Avandia/Rosiglitazone usually does not cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) when used alone, but it may cause low blood sugar when used with other medications for diabetes. If you have any of the following Avandia symptoms, eat or drink a food or beverage with sugar in it, such as hard candy or fruit juice, and call your doctor immediately. Symptoms of low blood sugar include:

shakiness
dizziness
rapid heartbeat
sweating
confusion
blurred vision
headache
numbness or tingling of the mouth
weakness
fatigue
pale color
sudden hunger

If you have any of the following symptoms of hyperglycemia (high blood sugar), call your doctor immediately:

thirst
dry mouth
tiredness
flushing
dry skin
frequent urination
loss of appetite
trouble breathing

Although side effects from Avandia/rosiglitazone are not common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these Avandia symptoms are severe or do not go away:

sinus or respiratory infection
headache
back pain
diarrhea
tiredness
weight gain

If you experience any of the following Avandia symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

seizures
loss of consciousness
irregular menstrual cycle (in women)
upset stomach
vomiting
stomach pain
excessive tiredness
dark urine
yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes
shortness of breath
rapid weight gain
swollen ankles or feet

Now the governemt is sooooo worried that we dont get drugs from other countires because they may not be safe to take. WTF is what I am on happy happy joy time drugs??????

Makes you think why am I takin git? I should stop and let the diabeties take over. I have alot of thoes side effects but because I am taking drugs for my extreamly high blood pressure (190/115 especially when I am stressing because I am disabled and we dont have the money to pay bills of feed the kids, or anything) wich is causing them and doing the most damage. At times I feel like I should just stop and let nature take over. After I get a butt load of life insurance on me of course.

There's one commercial that lists "Possible Risk of Fatality" as one of its side effects. Really made me want to jump up and request to be on that med.

If they do not put the side effect on it and it is found to cause such a side effect they are going to get sued into oblivion. So its safer to list everything it MIGHT cause.
