Dont flash with a floppy disk!! Very unreliable (although Dual BIOS is nice 🙂)

As for the PSU i highly doubt that can deliver a solid 32A, or for that matter anywhere remotely near 32A. Rosewill are not good PSU's, very unstable. NO offense meant so please dont take it that way :-\ . It doesn't really matter at any rate because there is no way a your system will eat up anywhere remotely close to that power.

Definitely try the BIOS update. Now does your BIOS retain any settings, particularly after a hard reboot.

I know rosewill doesnt make the best psu's but i only have 50 bucks at the time....so i got it. And i just flashed my bios, still no luck. damit my 940b comes in wendesday and i wanted to play games in full glory on it, guess not. 🙁

But your games are still running fine. Right now all we are doing is trying to correct:

A. THis bazaar resetting problem
B. 3dMark scores

Uninstall the NVIDIA graphics driver normally. Then reboot and run Driver Cleaner and wipe out the video driver. Then reboot again. Then reinstall the latest driver (WHQL ONLY) for your video card. Then run CCleaner ("Crap Cleaner", Google it). Go to the 'issues' tab to find problems with your registry and have it fix all the problems. I'm pretty sure after all that you won't have this slow down problem. Just make sure it's not because of any spyware.

When i went back from XG81.94's to official 78.01 i did clean install already with DC. I have ad-aware, CCleaner, and AVG on my system right now and each has been scanned numerous times since this problem occured, I also ran disk cleanup in windows already. Some minor spyware did appear but i mean who can hide from that?

Made this stupid mistake before... somehow vsync was on for my 3dmark05 profile. Turned it off, and got my score back.

Doesn't matter, really. Multiplayer 3dmark05 is soooooo lame.

Well you cant turn vsync on/off in the default 3dmark05 only if you buy it. Anybody else can help me out? And i am getting relatively lower fram rates i jsut checked. I was averaging around 25-30fps in COD2 on various settings which have been untouched, now it dips down a lot lower sometimes to 17fps. Also im BF2 i used to average 40 fps+, its now around 32 normally. This would probably explain why my eyes didnt detect a drop in performance since it was pretty small....

And even you cant deny the fact that something had to have changed with my system to cause this loss in 3dmark....you dont just lose 1800 points any given day.

If you dropped that many points, i dont care how CPU limited you made your games, you would notice a difference.

Not quite. If he's running on settings that are meant for a 6600GT, it's going to be around the ballpark of 1024x768 with eye candy, 12x10(or 9) without.

Now, let's take this situation for example...

CS:Source - I've got a Leadtek GF 6200 that hits about 2700 3dmarks. At his "6600GT" settings, I'm getting an average of well over 60fps on nearly all maps (save for a few parts in dust2 that lag to death) @ 10x7 w/4xAF.

If his card was a 6800U at those settings, it would be getting a much higher amount of frames than me. Dropping down to a relative 3800 3dmarks card, he'd still be averaging more than me...say 75fps. He's not going to notice the difference between 75fps and whatever higher number he was getting previously. Maybe a few of you can. I wouldn't.

Anyway, that was just an example.
Besides, if his card was performing at a relative 3800 3dmarks, that'd be pretty close to spot on to what an actual 6600GT performs at, so in most of his games I'm really sure he wouldn't notice the difference if he was running them at settings meant for that sort of card.

OP: Go to your device manager. Under system devices, do you have both a PCI-PCI bridge and PCI-AGP bridge device installed? Or is it one PCI-PCI bridge, or even two PCI-PCI bridge devices installed?

Somehow when I was changing drivers once, I deleted my PCI-AGP bridge and it reinstalled as a generic PCI-PCI bridge. My gaming performance tanked by 33%.

Thx avalon you are the only one who truly understands what i mean when i said i run 6600gt settings. Hmm well here what i have listed under system devices PCI bus, PCI standard host CPU bridge, PCI standard ISA bridge, PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge. Thats all i have under system devices regarding PCI, theres nothing of PCI-AGP could this be the reason? Also where would i download this from?

I understood completely. But you would stillnotice a framerate drop.

As for the rest, it sounds like you uninstalled your Chipset drivers man. What Chipset does your Motherboard use (I assume 865PE or 875P). Just head on over to Intel and get the drivers. That should fix it.

I believe you want this driver. It is the AGP GART Driver(Graphic Address Remapping Table).

After that you may want to try the IDE/SATA driver just for the hell of it (shouldn't make much difference).

Hope it works for you,
-Kevin

Check what is listed under your Add/Remove programs list. If nothing remotely similar is listed, then i wouldn't worry about it (on the other hand if there is something, go ahead and uninstall); it should merely update the generic windows driver.

-Kevin

Well i installed and opened with winzip and none of these files seem to do anything........i mean i clicked all the exe files and none of them do anything.

Let me check...you might have to manually install. I haven't used SiS drivers in a while.

-Kevin

Edit: You extracted all of the files, and clicked on the setup.exe file; yet nothing happened?? If that is the case try restarting, because i clicked and the Install Shield popped right up for me.

Edit 2: Also there is only 1 .exe to select, what other ones are you referring to?

Congratulations!! When you listed your System Devices that little light bulb just sort of went off in my head...

Happy Fragging,
-Kevin

Yep, I figured that was the problem. Kevin, thanks for directing him through that.

I knew your problem sounded familiar.
