ok so i went to fry's this past week end and bought some ram. its a 4 gig stick of ddr3 1600 model numberis "CMX4GX3M1A1600CL" i bought 2 which was 8 gigs for 99.00 each 4 gig stick... got to thinking with the timeings and the price on this maybe i should pick up some more but max out the motherboard maybe but ..BUT i cant seem to even find it at Fry's,Tiger,Newegg. no where i just dont get it it was listed like yesterday now its like it never was . what am i missing ..i cant even find it no where listed on Corsairs web site ..

You can mix and match RAM

You have to make sure their both running under spec latency and same speed 1600Mhz and manually adjust the timings so they match. Make them both run same speed and latencies and your set. Mixing RAM nothing wrong with it as long as you set proper voltage to handle your sticks and proper latency numbers and 1600mhz. No need to buy same brand.. good luck

no i would rather find the same maker and ram so its goes better toghter i should have just bought a hand full when i seen the stats i grabed 2 .. knowing it was great ..damn i should have grabed more ... and yes out of stock everywhere
