US Army actually uses desert eagles

Slap yourself. Hard.

The US Army may have a couple in inventory, but the Army as a whole does not use them.
Umm, the .50 cal desert eagle is standard issue for the US Army. The Italian army uses Beretta pistols.

first ive EVER heard of that. You got proof?
obviously you don't know ANYTHING about the Army. My "proof" is common sense. The Army needed a gun that was more powerful than the 1911. They chose the Desert Eagle because, despite the fact that it's a larger caliber bullet, it is twice as powerful and has less recoil. THAT'S WHY IT'S STANDARD ISSUE IN THE US ARMY.
I don't know what's funnier, you believing the Army uses Desert Eagles or that a 50 caliber pistol has less recoil than a .45.

Bwahahahaha.... I had to stop typing till the laughing stopped.

Sorry. Anyway, just for you, I'll type this verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slowly, maybe it'll help you understand. The IMI Desert Eagle chambered in .50 AE is not, and never has been, the standard issue of the US Army. Clear enough?
Ummm... the Israelis' Desert Eagles use the .50AE round. The US Army is the .50 ACP round in their standard issue Desert Eagle handguns.
Teh funny++.
No such thing as .50ACP (ACP = Automatic Colt Pistol).

He admitted long ago he was just trolling. Leave him be.

Blah, I missed that post. Most likely that's just a copout of his, I bet he went into the thread thinking they really did use Desert Eagles.

They should give the officers airsoft pistols for decoration. How often it is in today's military that a soldier will ever get to use their side arm?

You want to go into a "spider hole" or any sort of highly confined area with an M16?

Thats why we got the m4 now. It is slowly becomming the standard rifle for the army. They are actually re-writing the manual of arms for the m4.

P.S. - The m9 aint that great, but its not to aweful either. Been there, done that. I have heard some decent stories of it in use.

Ack! The MP. ;)
Who started using the M4A1...oh yea, the Marines (and Special Forces).

That should read Special Forces (Ranger, Spec Ops, and Seals) and the Marines. CQCT used the M4 for years prior to Marine adoption. Great weapon BTW.

Well, either powermac really thought the US Army used Desert Eagles (incredible, but I can believe it) or he honestly did all this just to pull a gag and brag about his trolling success.

I spent 5 seconds pondering this, and then concluded that he's an embarassment to the gene pool either way.
