Don't forget that dude rappelled down a little cliff or whatever to find his "rescuers" after he sawed off his arm with that corkscrew or toothpick or whatever the hell he used. That guy is nuts

Although they can probably be classified as terrorists, dictators of war torn 3rd world countries (and their soldiers) are the most hardcore group. It's pretty hardcore when you tell your millitia to hack up everyone, including women and children, with machetes.
