What graphics is "faster", Ati Rage Mobility M3 or S3 Twister?

I only vaguely remember each, but I think the Twister was a generation ahead of the M3, and would be faster as such.

Dude, get that Twister, stick it into a P75 with 64MB of RAM and you'll be flying!

My M3 (AKA AGP 2x Rage Mobility 128) SUCKED at 3DMark, but it performed pretty well (Perfectly playable) with Quake3-to-T&L era games. I'm sure the Twister is better

Hmmm,

Ati M3 would have its own dedicated memory, where Twister uses shared memory... The Twister core is propably faster, but shared memory kills it for games. On the other hand, most Ati M3 systems come with max 8Mb graphics memory, where as most Twister machines can have up to 64Mb of shared memory... Hmmmm

Both are OK for normal office/web tasks, but don't expect to be playing much games on either. If I would have to choose, I would go with Twister...

MY M3 used 16MB of dedicated memory. Dell's M3 and M4 (AGP 4x version) also had 16 & 32MB dedicated memory.
