They weren't trying to kick him off of anything. They were trying to be sure he was following the rules. It's a good thing, too, as members of the GOP were found to be attempting to commit fraud in gathering signatures to get Nader on the ballot in some states.

And, Ross Perot *might* have won if he'd picked a decent running mate. When he chose Stockdale, he lost my vote.

I think Ross "Coo-Coo" Perot was the problem not Stockdale. Plus if it can't stand the heat of a couple hecklers how's he ready to face off angist international threats.

He was an ineffectual Preident, failing to live up to his many campaign promises, such as tax reform (which he blamed on the Big, Bad Congress, which I'm pretty sure were both Democrat-controlled) He certainly did not succeed in "reducing government bloat and bureaucracy." And do you recall the whole allowing Pahlavi into the US with political asylum which led to the Iran hostage crisis in Tehran?

So yeah, Carter is a great man and quite the humanitarian, but that alone doesn't make a successful World Leader.

What you mean is that he was moral and tried to lead morally. The assholes that make up the political elite in this country are the ones who wouldn't follow and paralized his leadership. Carter was one of our greatest Presidents and a REAL CHRISTIAN.
