I do truly believe that if Google has been busy they should come up with their own version of nix OS. Linux based and Google empowered. I do think that this would be awesome. Once that happens, I'm so postive that this will be flocked by the record numbers, in tens of million people in the first day.

I know this should go into OS Forum, but there's no Google OS yet so it's an off topic.

Thoughts?
 
Interesting idea. Google probably has the capability of doing this. They have some very incredible software. I would definetely try it out. But the big thing is compatability. The only way a majority of people would switch is if it was far superior to windows, AND all major software was compatible with it.
 
dont think anyone will actually use it unless google partners with dell/gateway/etc.

dell/gateway/hp wont use it cause it would be a tech support nightmare. most people already use windows and it would be a big hassle for the average joe to learn google os.

everything google makes is free and ad supported. if the os was that way that would mean they would be still "watching what we do" and we would have text based links everywhere in our screen.
