What goes well with teriyaki chicken?

I've been cooking for the working poor once a month. Need to feed 100 to 150 people. Other team members are making teriyaki chicken and rice. We serve milk and coffee and whatever deserts were donated by the public. So that leaves the veggie and fruit food groups for me to make. It may be their only meal of the day, so I like it to be healthy and well rounded.

I personally hate teriyaki and never eat it. So what side dishes go well with it?

stir fry veg: carrots, snow peas, baby corn, bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, soy beans. could also be roasted since that'd probably be more realistic for 150 people.

Edamame for a side
Pineapple for the fruit
A combination of steamed broccoli, bell peppers and carrots for the veggies

Another one I like to do is a big batch of of the thin style green beans, toss in some sauteed onions and bell peppers, mustard seed and a bit of stir fry sauce for a very, very light glaze.

steamed veggie. Teriyaki is sweet so you want something to balance that out. Rice is the main food.

Surprising, I find asparagus with a bit of butter and salt, to go rather well with teriyaki. I also agree with vi edit, I would have pineapple with it as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. Grilling would be difficult. I have access to a large commercial stove, brazzer, and oven. Could stir fry in the brazzer or steam on the stove or roast in the oven.
