I'm talking about a "Real Friend", not just a "casual acquaintance". What types of qualities would you want in a "Real Friend"?

I'll start it out...
Integrity
Someone who can "shoot straight" with me, in a way that I'll understand. Someone who is "one". They don't have different "faces" for different situations.
Caring
Someone who is not a "taker", but rather has genuine care for me and the others around them.
Loyal
Someone who is loyal to me and our friendship. But not someone who will turn a "blind eye" at my wrong-doing. They will confront me about it.

Capacity for Growth

The two people I have had the longest friendships with--- Mr. Isla and my friend from grade school--- have an amazing capacity for growth and allow me room to grow, too.

honesty
I think this is one of the most important parts of any meaningful relationship. Being able to tell a friend something, that is for their best interest, though you know will hurt them.

Hooters are nice as long as their on a female.....

I look for somebody that I can talk to, who listens to me and respects what I have to say, and who I can feel the same way about. I also need honesty and respect. Basically, I look for what I am willing to give in return. ;)
