at a wedding/corporate xmas party/any high end classy festivity

if you're limited to a trio, what goes better with a harp + flute?

Cello or violin?

while harps span a larger range, flutes are treble instruments, so the cello would probably balance it out best

Cello for a lower end to balance out the higher flute and mid-range harp. Although I personally think I'd rather a string quartet or a simple jazz trio (say bass, piano, and saxophone, clarinet, or trumpet).

this is nice too. I can't really get behind a harp sound. Although, it would be nice of you to hire a harp player, I'm sure there's one in you area looking for a gig. ;)

Flute/cello/harp sounds like a strange combination, but whatever, I bet it'll sound cool anyway as long as the players are dece.
