According to the ATI Motherboard Catalog Summer 2006, all AM2 mobos with ATI chipsets were scheduled for release in June. Where the hell are they? ECS and MSI are the only ones with these mobos on their sites, and none of them are available yet.

Maybe I'm being too impatient, but shouldn't they be out already? Especially if they were projected for June. There's nothing on the ATI site that I can find that mentions the supposed SB600 shortage either.😕

I've been waiting months for an AM2 motherboard to come out with an ATI chipset. Anyone else here waiting for one of these? I just hope they get here before I'm forced to get nForce (read: end of August when college starts).

Just talked to the main PR guy at ATI yesterday and he did say to hang on a week or so, after I posed exactly the same question.,... "AM2 boards with Crossfire should be on store shelves shortly so if you can hold off, please do so....."

AMD crossfire solutions are particularly lacking (just got the x850xtpe and 850 crossfire both for a total of $398.

Alright, luckily, one of my cousins owns a computer store. I'm gonna see if he can get any from his distributor (or when he can get some).

September puts me in a timeframe that forces me to SLI instead of Crossfire. Hopefully the crossfires come in time.

I'm in the same boat as Tsuwamono. I really don't like the lacklaster improvements that nVidia did for nForce 500 (really, how much better than nForce 4 is it? Not much), and I want to give ATI a chance. Plus Crossfire would be a good future option.

******, if it comes down to it, I might consider buying a cheap mobo to last me over until the RD580's come.

Should be another week or two before we see crossfires.. hopefully.. if its more than a month from now im going to go SLI just because of the availability

how do they stack up against the nforce 570 ultra or nforce4 ultra? anyone know? not interested in crossfire or SLI.. just simply want a good overclockable AM2 board under $150
