sweet... I'll probably give that a try then. $90 bucks for 256MB of 133 isn't bad, should go well with a $60 processor running at 1GH+ :)

Why not spend a little extra money and buy some decent RAM? Cheap ram is one of the worst things you could buy for a system. Cheap video card, cd-rom, floppy, nic, modem, these things won't affect your system performance, but ram? You really should reconsider buying cheap ram.

how much more is "decent" ram? The other KT7 system I built was stable as a rock and I could bump all the RAM setting to thier optimal state (excluding Cas2) with no stability problems.

I've bought some "broker grade" ram... random chips.... unknown manufacturer ram. And they worked perfectly on my KT7.

Personally, cheap CDRoms and Modems are much worse than cheap ram.

Superfreaky,

You can grab a stick of mosel vitelic 128mb PC143 cas2-2-2 in the for sale forum for $95 from John. Spend the money and buy this ram, you'll not notice a difference between 256 and 128 megs of ram anyhow and will get more for your money this way. I'd almost bet on it that you will get much BETTER performance with 128 megs of this ram than 256 of generic.
