What gaming res. are you targeting? (and what gpu do you intend to use for that?)

What monitor resolution are you gaming on (or intend to game on)?

  • 1080p @ 60Hz?

  • 1080p @ greater than 60Hz?

  • 1440p/1600p @ 60Hz?

  • 1440p/1600p @ greater than 60Hz?

  • 4k

5760x1080, quadfire 7950s.

I don't seem myself upping the resolution until 4K becomes affordable enough for me to pickup 3 or 5(portrait mode 🙂) displays.

Holy shit son... That would be impressive.

Current: GTX 560Ti (sigh) and 1080p@120Hz.

Intend to run: 1440p@120Hz with 290/290x/780 Classified, depending on price and will jump to a 20nm card next year.

I'm paralyzed making a decision though. I wouldn't want to buy a 1440p monitor if Overlord will incorporate a GSync module next year.

1440p @ 96Hz. 60 -> 96 I can tell a noticeable difference, 96 ->120 not so much and I don't want to push my luck with this monitor.

Currently running the 680 in my sig, but I'm looking to upgrade in the next month. The old girl just doesn't have the muscle to keep 96 frames going consistently @ 1440p.

2560x 1440

Intel Iris Pro Graphics

I like my games to play like stop-motion animation.... in slow motion.

1920x1200@60hz on a 24in monitor
Trusty GTX570 has been doing fine with the games I've played. Waiting for the R290 to hit the market to see whether a GTX780 or R290 is in my future.

Also have a 1920x1080@60hz 46in TV being driven by a HD7770

I'm running 1920 x 1200 right now, but still deciding on a 2560 x 1440 monitor. If the rumors about Gsync not coming for a while are true, I won't wait for it and I'll buy myself a new monitor for Christmas.

Thinking about the 290x with aftermarket cooling or 780ti depending on how prices are around the holidays.

5760x1080, and before reading these posts though I thought I was doing ok running them on a 2gb 6950 😛 I had thought about a 7970/280x but at this point I think I'll have to wait for the 290 to come out.

Better than I expected, around 40% of those polled are on 1440p/1600p. Too bad for the ~60% that still live in the darkness that is 1080 ish p and below.

1080p @ 60Hz with my 7950

Probably going to be running this monitor for quite a while still. Trying not to upgrade the GPU again until I can double my performance for $300 . . . we'll see if I am actually patient enough.

1080p@120hz
Still can get close to that on quite a few of the games I play with a GTX 570, but want something faster. GTX 770 is in my price range...but would prefer something faster then that and not going to spend more so might wait till 20nm arrives.

i picked 1080p @ >60 Hz, but i care much more about higher signal rate. 1600x900 is sufficient for me, i just wish 120 hz was within my monitor's pixel clock @ 1600x900.

screen resolutions higher than 1600x900 just arent important to me.

I've had enough of "low rez" displays I'm jumping on the 4K train as soon as they make 50" displays that don't cost as much as a car.

1920x1080 @ 60 Hz (Dell U2311H)
HD 5850

While I would like a higher resolution monitor, they are marked up too high where I live. It works well enough for me. I will probably use the monitor until it dies of old age.

I would like to upgrade the GPU though. Been playing most recent games on Low/Medium settings. Some suck no matter what (Rome Total War 2 comes to mind).

Keep waiting for the 'right' graphic card. Only games I'm excited for this quarter are BF4 (the beta played pretty well for me) and The Walking Dead Season 2 (which will probably be playable on most IGPs). I had Watch Dogs on preorder but cancelled it due to the delay.

I will get whatever's the best deal in the $400-$500 bracket around the time GTA V hits PCs.

I game at 1920 x 1200 on a 7970 on an old 24" Samsung LCD. I've been out of the loop and thought 60 Hz was the norm, but I don't see any need to upgrade my monitor yet.

1080p, Titan SLI.

Great for SGSSAA and downsampling: Currently I play Batman AO at 2880x1620@1920x1080 + 4xMSAA with PhysX high and performance is okay, though it could be better in some places.

Poll needs an Eyefinity option, such as 3 x 1080p or 3 x 1200p or 3 x 1440p. I chose 4K because my three 1080p monitors total to three-quarters the number of pixels of 4K.

I've been 1600p for the last 5 years, going to move to 4K @ 32" as soon as the become readily available and reasonably priced (~$2000?).

Target: 2560x1440 @ 90Hz.

Currently need GTX 680's SLI to achieve 90FPS with most games maxed out.

I'd like to consolidate back to a single card, but I'll have to wait until 20nm cards are out to match 680SLI or even barely beat it.
