what games you guys are playing now?

I just got bored of AOEII. (yeah, I am old fashioned)
quake3, UT, doesn't amused me as it did.
can't enjoy massive on-line multipler games (counter-strike, Rogue Spear) coz don't have a fast network.

I am looking for some single player games...

Cemical Existance, it's a mod for half-Life and on the 16th(or there abouts) Gunman is supposed to be out, which is powered by the HL engine.

So in essence, any thing HL.

I barely played magic so i can't really compare it to rpgs But if you like magic, you'll probably like balders gate Elite force is a great ride while it lasts, the nocturne sequels should be good. I've seen decent reviews and i liked the original game. I'm just starting out on balders gate 2, its ok so far.

and yes anything halflife as long as its free engine is way way too old.

Baldurs Gate II - when I'm done that I'll go back to my old staple: Counter-strike, and see how 1.0 is.

I recently got the demo to "Pro rally 2001" or something like that, not sure of the name but its really cool and I may get this game.

Here's another vote for Dungeon Keeper 2. You get to be an evil god in a game with a sense of humour ("The very rock trembles with anticipation at the thought of your next move&quot.

Also, Quake 3 Arena (and not just for testing my motherboard/CPU either). There's nothing like some Instagib action at the end of the day to blow off some steam.
