I am out of school for summer and I can finally play Guild Wars again. I was reminsing today on what great times I had with this game. The game is so beautiful and the music so great along with the fun times I had that I think I may find myself moving from WoW back to this game again. I was wondering if people have games like this and if so, what are they and why?

Age of Empires II

Because it just never gets boring.

Rise of Nations

Because it puts the Empire Earth series to shame.

Quake 1, because new graphical engines are still very much in development and it looks WAY better than it did 12 years ago.

I totally agree with you on Guild Wars! The game was so well made, the music was amazing, the PvP was like, HOLY SHIT AWESOME, and the lvl 20 cap was perfect, and the size was great, and the guild system was great, and the economy was great, THAT GAME IS THE BEST MMO EVER RELEASED AND WILL NOT BE SURPASSED UNTIL GUILD WARS 2

yeah, i love guild wars =)

My beta guild Rise Against DOMINATED, top 10-20 no problem after pvping just 1 day during a beta weekend.

Yeah I definitely can't wait for Guild Wars 2 and all its upgrades over the original. I've been looking forward to any new information except they haven't release much about it. I'm going to have some fun late nights with that game.

Counter Strike Source. Theres so many different mods for it that it actually would take me a week of playing to get bored of it.

haters, can't accept that WoW just fails as an mmo and a instanced mmo is 10x better then a contiguous world.

#1: WoW sucks

#2: A contiguous world is almost always better than a instanced setting

#3: They have a whole section in the official Guild Wars FAQ about how GW is not really an MMO. If GW is an MMO, then so is Diablo II, which is a much better game in my opinion anyway, but that's just opinion.

#4: :D

Capitalism II's free demo. I own the full version, but only play the content (the scenarios) in the demo. After you win the scenario, you can keep playing the same scenario (no time limit). Best business simulation ever made, IMO.

I'm not so sure that he is hating on WoW. WoW is a great game but some people prefer Guild Wars over it. I like the opposing sides in WoW which allows me to gank and fight other people in the game. I wish that Guild Wars had that but I think that Guild Wars pulls me into the environment a lot better.

I've only replayed:

Homeworld (because I wanted to play Homeworld 2, but I didn't get a chance until long after HW came out, so I replayed HW :p)
Doom 1 and 2
Knights of the Old Republic
Republic Commando
GTA3 and San Andreas (mmm jetpack)
Civ 3 (several times)
Civ 4 (for Beyond the Sword, but essentially the game is the same)
Warhammer 40k Dawn of War + Winter Assault (2 or 3 times, mm)
Starcraft

I've replayed Alpha Centauri probably 10 or 11 times, that game is always refreshing. Sadly, there has yet to be a game that matches it

I tried replaying Rome Total War and Medieval Total War II, but I couldn't get back into it. The endgame in those is HORRIBLE. It's cool when you're still a small, fledgling faction trying to expand. The game becomes nothing more than a test of patience once you have a real empire going. Of course, maybe that's because I play beyond the victory condition and just try to rule the world... man, it's hard

Fallout 1 and 2 :)

Geeze, there are a lot more in that list than I would have initially guessed

Also, it's "come back to" not "come back too"

"There are two fish in the bowl" (two = number)
"There are too many fish in the bowl" (too usually describes a quantity, too many, or it can be used at the end of a sentence, like "me too!")
"Where are you going to find a urologist at this time of night?" (to is used in all other cases)

Baldurs Gate 2. At least once a year, if not more.

Also, since I got that neat little mod which converts the game content of BG1 to BG2's engine, I've been getting into that.
