What game do you have in your que to play but you are saving it as the best for last game.

After playing Fallout 3, I haven't touched Fallout New Vegas yet....saving it for when I get other games played from collection of Steam Holiday Sales and Humble Bundles, etc...

imho, new vegas is 2x better than f3.

1) harder; from sensibly harder to seriously harder, depending on the settings. this was a very welcome change for me, who thought the game was far too easy.
2) much less cheesy and phoned in than F3. didn't really like the climax though, while i did enjoy the "robot stomp" in f3.
3) overall much less over-the-top characters, and a more "after them bomb" scenario.
4) very welcome addition of hardcore mode; doesn't change that much, and a couple things are weird (soda hurts you?!?), but it does add a new layer of depth to the game.
5) some ridiculously OP guns removed from the game.

anyway, i'm not like that, i play one game at the time, burn through it, then bin it. always have been like that.

no such thing as best for last, just whatever peaks current interests especially given that your library will always be growing

I've had Assassin's Creed II in the the queue now forever. Finally got around to playing it recently.

About 6 hours in; kind of meh about it so far.

I was saving Gears of War and just played it yesterday. What a thankless task that was. I can't for the life of me understand how this game managed to get three sequels.

If you just finished it yesterday you've had 6 years to play games that gears of war spawned. No wonder it seems tired now. When consoles launched it was something completely new.

I don't really treat games like that. I just scroll through my library of unplayed games and whatever strikes me at that particular moment, I will fire up and give a try. If I like it, I will keep playing, if not, then I quit and go to something else. It's kind of random, unless there is something I just purchased and want to try it out right away.

The Witcher Series mainly, although I'm so very tempted to start it soon.

Notable mentions, Batman and STALKER series, Dishonoured, Far cry 3

Anyone else find they always go back to a multiplayer game instead, TF2 really eats the small free time I have.

That's what happens to me. I always end up just going back to TF2 or L4D2.

I don't save the best for last. On the contrary, I pick the game I'm least likely to enjoy and put that at the end.

Right now that's Stacking.

Before you start playing new vegas, get the Nexus Mod Manager, New Vegas script extender, at least one UI mod (I recommend Darnified New Vegas v. 4 but its not on the Nexus) and plenty of mods that add recipes to the game. Especially stuff that adds missing ammo recipes (shit you can purchase but not craft yourself).

Also get a house mod that has item sorting. Theres way more crap than in F3, especially once you start breaking down ammo.
I like the camping gear backpack tent, but the Underground Hideout is also popular.

Welcome to may exact feelings about GTA.

As for which game(s) I have been saving, Dark Souls is first, most likely. I'm not big on playing several games at once. On PC, I was playing Dishonored and Poker Night 2 at the same time, but I've taken a break from both (especially since my cousin took my controller). On Xbox, I've been playing Black Ops II almost exclusively, both campaign and online (by the way, I think Black Ops II has a really nice campaign).

Shortylickens,

Thanks for the info on Fallout NV; you always post great info! BTW miss your original avatar ;)

Lil Frier,

I can't play several games at once. Maybe 2 with a story at a time, of course quick action / MP whenever.

Reason for post is if I play what I think is my best game first then the rest are sometimes not as enjoyable. I don't go into a new game with as high expectations (ie you save that chocolate glazed donut for last :)

Fallout 3, actually.

I own it on XBox and couldn't get into it, but I suspect I'd like it more on PC... but I missed the last good Steam sale on it and refuse to pay full price for a game I already own.

All the bethesda games are better on Windows thanks to mods and mod managers.

I don't think that 'saving to play last' is a concept I can use with games. Realistically games that I want to play come out faster than I can finish the games that I am playing.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that from here on out my game library will just continue to grow in size as I am unable to play them all as fast as they go on discount.

I mean it regularly happens that I see a new game coming out that I want to play and put it on my Steam wishlist and tell myself that I'll buy it and play it as soon as I'm done with the games I have started now. Then sometime before I'm done with those games I see that the game is on sale on Steam for 75% off and buy it for under $10.
