Although I currently don't practice any particular form of religion right now, I previously was of the Jehovah's Witness faith. As a JW their hopes and beliefs about the future of man are as follows:

1 - The good and faithful type of people will be one of the 144,000 who will have a heavenly hope while the majority will inhabit a paradise earth that will eventually be free of sin, sickness and death.

2 - The wicked people will destroyed at armageddon, but instead of burning in hell they simply will never be resurrected ever again.

So in a nutshell that is an abbreviated version of what JWs beleive is in the future of all mankind. However their belief is just one interpertation of the bible and what the future holds for people, every religion has their own particular twist on what's intended for man. Personally I don't really know what God has in store for mankind, especially considering what a mess the world is in right now. But enough about me, what about you. What do you think will happen to man in the future or after he dies?

EDIT: Correction on point 1, JWs believe that they will either go to heaven as one of the 144,000 OR they will reside on a paradise earth

I was raised that way too. Its funny as soon as you say, resurrection to a paradise earth, I knew you were a J_dubb, thats what i call them
but dont tell my mother, she's still goes in field service

where are you from if you don't mind me asking

I'm actually out in the midwest, Olympia Fields, IL to be exact. I'm about 15-20 minutes south of Chicago.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding, post some pics if you can. Me and my wife are coming up on 7 years of marriage (god I feel old saying that). She's still a witness as are most of my family (inlaws included)

It was pure hell in the beginning but things have simmered down now, its been about a year and a half since I left the religion. My mom just about broke down and my in-laws were on some campaign to save my heathen soul but fortunately things have calmed a lot lately.

I have something to say about JW but I will withhold my comment. My uncle is a JW.

You go to heaven when you die if God lets you.

Wow , i cant even imagine. My parents were split, my father is in "the world", so growing up I saw many fights based on their differences. I guess with me, "there aer many ways up the mountain". Only prob I have with them is that they are very arrogant. Like they are the only ones out there worshipping and everyone else is wrong. What makes you guys right and all the other Billions of people wrong, because of how you intrepret the bible. Whatever.

Quick rundown:
1. JW believes: Since the bible says everyone has sins, then everyone will fall under 2. I.E. everyone who dies will never be resurrected ever again. There's alot in common with Athiests' views there.

I've been told countless times to go to Hell. Will someone please tell me where it is?

BTW, don't you think that if God really wants us all to "know" him/her that there won't be any question of his/her existence?

No...because only those that truly have faith and believe and live their lives for Him will be rewarded.

Or something.

In all the thousands of years of recorded history, we have yet to see verifiable, consistent evidence that anything happens to human consciousness after death. Therefore, in my opinion, any attempt to speculate is wishful thinking. While wishful thinking has its place, I feel that it's no reason to believe in any one religion over any other.

"Science does not know how we learn and remember, nor how we think and communicate, nor how the brain stores information, nor what the relationship between language and thought is. Science does not know how living cells interact with nonliving matter. It does not know what the origin of the universe is, nor how old the universe is, not what the ultimate fate of the universe will be."

Well, it would help if I know He exist first before living my life for Him. This whole leap of faith thing (suspension of disbelief is more what I call it) is kinda difficult for the moderately educated.
